   46 & York offers a nice place to grab drinks away from the main road in Parnell. We came here for drinks and really enjoyed the selection of cocktails and wines they had available. We got the ‘Better Late Than Never’, ‘Take it Sloe’, ‘In No Rush’ cocktails, and the Oystercatcher Pinot Noir. We also got a garlic bread as a nibble to go with our drinks. The cocktails were brave and used some really nice mixers and liquors. My favourite was the ‘Better Late Than Never (Spritz)’. As someone who prefers gin, this was a good way to expand that to incorporate something sweet with a bit of tang to it. The cheesy garlic bread was excellent, a good amount of garlic, and lots of cheese. The only downside to our experience was that there was a large amount of cigarette smoke coming in from the outdoor seating area out back, which was quite pervasive indoors too. Even with the doors closed this was still quite strong, which was a shame. Other than that, 46 & York is a fun place to stop by for some drinks.

   I thought the food was quite simple. I ordered the brisket which I would liken to a home cooked meal, nice but nothing special. Atmosphere was nice with the fire going but don't sit by the kitchen or outside doors on a cold night. Table service was pleasant but poor overall. I think the place has potential but I came away feeling underwhelmed on this occasion.

   Excellent food. Good Service. Just don’t try and eat the skin like I did with the smoked fish. It was so delicious that I was like, “ I’m going to eat the skin “ next thing I knew I was chewing on a bunch of scales. My fault? Hmmmm maybe. In general very nice and the steak was cooked to perfection and a nice size to let me carry on with my night.

   Always a great atmosphere for after work cocktails or a beer in the sunshine! Easily the best place to enjoy a sundowner - one of the only places on east side of the city that gets that all-afternoon sunshine. Also, the food is consistently great - the curly fries with truffle - to die for! And there’s plenty of gluten free goodness on the menu.

   46 and York is an awesome place to meet friends for drinks and a bite to eat. They have heaps of unique cocktails and a range of beers/ciders on tap. The food is great and ranges from bites to share (chicken sliders are my all time fave) to yummy meals. There's a lot of parking directly outside which is unheard of for a bar in Auckland city and is a great after work spot as the tables outside have sun until late in the evening. Can't fault it, one of my favourite bars in Auckland

   Food: 9/10 Venue: 8/10 Bar:9/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance: 9/10 The food was outstanding! Fresh ingredients perfectly brought together with a simple yet well thought out menu. The casual lounge music and comfortable setting is perfect for a quick bite or with your mates. The bar looks pretty well stocked and caters for pretty much any kind of beer, wine, spirits and cocktails. I'll be back for that Wagu Burger!
