We went to Belmont Vet clinic recently and we were impressed with the skill and knowledge of the staff. And we were helped and comforted by their kindness and compassion as our cat needed to be euthanised. Thank you
My cat is a senior and so I was unsure about taking her to a new vet when we first started going. It's been 4 years now and I couldn't recommend Belmont highly enough. The staff are professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have looked after my aging cat with such care and concern, and often have helpful recommendations about her care. I am very grateful to have someone I can trust with my dear animals.
I got my husband to my senior dog here today because he was unwell, and instead of compassion or thorough care, I was told within minutes that he had parvo — without any testing, no IV fluids, no examination beyond a quick glance, and no effort to confirm the diagnosis. The vet immediately suggested euthanasia. This was devastating and felt rushed and careless. He can’t have parvo because he has been slowly going down hill and has not been out in months. We also have another senior dog whom is absolutely fine. I expected at least basic testing, hydration support, or discussion of other possibilities, but none were offered. A quick mention it could be Cancer but no other help other than “if it was his dog he wouldn’t let him go this long and would euthanise him”. Our pets deserve patience, proper assessment, and empathy, especially in their most vulnerable moments. I left feeling dismissed and heartbroken. I would not recommend this clinic based on this experience.
The veterinary assistant’s and receptionist were lovely, the same cant be said about the rest…
We’ve been bringing our dog, Maru, here for the past few months, and the experience has been great. The receptionist is always helpful, both in person and over the phone. Mark is very thorough, takes the time to listen to our concerns, and ensures our requests are addressed. We also appreciate the excellent communication and follow-up, which makes a big difference in our dog’s care.

Didn't know these vets still existed! Fantastic. Awesome staff and a great experience - for me and the moggie. Turned away from other vets in the area as they weren't taking new clients so a real bonus to find Belmont Vet Clinic who couldnt have been happier to help. Very highly recommended.
Very caring Vet, Mark who is very informative. Nice team and they always schedule appointments quickly which is very important when you have a sick pet. Highly recommend.
Thought it was time to place some feedback. Been coming to this Vet clinic for approx 20 years with our dogs. Mark is a fantastic vet extremely knowledgeable and fair. Still come back to this vet even though we are no longer in the area. Highly recommended Vet.
Mark and staff were again so lovely. This morning. My cat Tinka was on her way out with age. They said come straight up! Which when your distressed is what you hope to hear. Sadly it was time to say goodbye. I like Belmont vets. I especially love the way Mark is with animals. Very knowledgeable and gets straight to the point. I would even say there is not much that he doesn’t know or has seen first hand. It is a good family vet practice. Have gone there for all our pets over 20 years.
