   A great little find. Everything you want from a local bistro bar. Friendly service, great local atmosphere, nice interior mood, and great solid food. Not the usual pub fish and chips/burger nosh but some gastro delights. The Korean cauliflower was exceptional, the chicken schnitzel was super crispy (the best I’ve had)…ever. Good wine selection. I like a member of the staff comes around and checks if you need anything and empty plates and glasses simply disappear without asking. Wonderful, so why do so many places it it so wrong when the Corner does it all so seamlessly. Well done team.

   We came here when our local friends had dinner plans. The food was super disappointing. Boa pork bun was dry and tough. Fish and chips was almost no fish it was pretty much a joke. Tartar sauce looked like it had been sitting out. It looked like two chicken fingers instead of fish. New server was working hard.

   Such a fantastic place. The corner bar is our favourite bar in auckland. Warm and friendly staff who take such good care of you. Make you feel at home. The food is amazing at this place, our favourites are lamb skewers, burger, the calamari, butter chicken !!!! In terms of drink you cant go past their beer selection but what does it is the amazing cocktails (chilli/coconut magarita are our favourites )

   We had dinner here to watch with rugby with several friends last night. We thought it would be a bit of fun although was not as busy as we had envisaged. Service was good with drinks etc but I felt the food had really gone downhill since I last ate here. Personally we struggled to find anything on the menu that wasn’t deep fried’!!! But settled in the end for several meals of chicken schnitzel, one chicken taco and a chicken burger. The schnitzels looked deep fried not crumbed with a dessert spoon full size of coldslaw and everyone had to order chips on the side as there were little else in the way of side offerings. The burger a standard chicken burger was just ok. The chicken taco looked the best as it wasn’t deep fried and looked reasonably healthy. Ok I kno it’s a pub but we felt these meals were below average standard for the prices charged. An example of good pub food eg Swashbucklers’ who used to serve food like this until they really lifted their standards a few years back when the owners changed and started to offer more varied options eg pan friend and crumbed. Decent sides of tasty salads. Please don’t assume everyone just wants chips as their side they don’t.

   Had the fish burger today… one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted! Very delicious & for $25 I’ll definitely be back. It’s apparently a new burger to the menu, I’ll be ordering that more frequently now!
