Had the 21 day dry aged sirloin with roast potatoes and broccoli. Also ordered a gin and tonic. The service was very average. It took a long time for my drink to arrive and even after asking about it they brought the wrong one. Now for the food: the steak was obviously a cheap cut and mostly gristle. No amount of dry aging could save that. The peppercorn and brandy sauce just tasted sweet and not at all peppery. The β€œroast potatoes” were just boiled potatoes that had been sautΓ©ed in a frying pan for a bit and were greasy and not at all crisp as one would expect . The broccoli was excellent however, but why serve it with a lemon wedge?

Had dinner here the other night here indulging in some quality food. Never dissapoints with service everytime I come here. I ordered the king prawns, oysters, brocollini, flounder and eye fillet to share with my mother and we both left satisfied. Great value too if you have accorsplus so you can benefit from the dining discounts.

Our first lunch visit using First Table. This restaurant is located inside the Pullman Hotel. The waiter was dressed in a nice suit, and the service was friendly, with a luxurious atmosphere. We ordered the beef carpaccio, soup of the day, steak with fries, snapper fillet, and a cup of flat white. The beef carpaccio was excellent. Simple, yet each ingredient (arugula, Parmigiano Reggiano, and grass-fed beef) worked perfectly together. It was a great appetizer. The soup of the day was also nice. However, we were disappointed with the main dishes. We ordered the steak medium rare, but it was served medium or close to well done. The portion was quite small, and the jus was a bit too bitter. The snapper fillet still had scales. I don’t mind if there’s just one or two β€” it happens β€” but mine had quite a few scales left, and they almost cut my mouth. Properly cleaning fish skin should be basic preparation, even before cooking. That said, the lychee glaze was amazing, and the fish itself was beautifully cooked. I just really wish the skin had been cleaned properly so I could fully enjoy the dish. We were also surprised by the drink menu. The menu only listed alcoholic drinks, so we asked for a flat white and still water. The flat white was lovely β€” a beautifully made, tasty cup. However, we didn’t expect the still water to cost $10. The waiter had simply asked, β€œWould you like still or sparkling water?” so we chose still. Later we realized that the still water was a bottle of premium New Zealand natural water, and it cost $10. We were shocked that water wasn’t complimentary. Expensive more than flatwhite. What a joke.

My husband and I went there for a date night on Saturday night. The place was absolutely packed. There was a large group of 40-50 people split between the dining and bar area. Apparently turned up without booking. The staffs did well under the circumstances. Because of this it was about 1 hour wait for food, the staff offered some bread whilst we waited. Foods were beautifully made despite the manic the kitchen. We ordered a cauliflower and scallops entree, both were great. Our grilled tomahawk was medium rare, just the way we liked it. It had a nice smoky char crust, a bit too burn for my liking. The meat was very tender. The red wine ju was absolutely the crowning jewel. Overall a great experience.

Customer service is great. Shout out to Fletcher who welcomed us. Tapestry's all-you-can-eat breakfast is one of the best buffets in Auckland. My favorite is the juicing station with all the fresh fruits and veggies.

Service was friendly and professional. Everything was explained well on arrival. The lamb rack was divine and we will go back just for that alone!! Todays market fish was snapper and it was alright. The feedback I got was that the fish was average but the salad on the side was really nice. We were served complimentary bread and butter on arrival. That was really lovely and delicious. Overall, what an amazing meal ( for me anyway, since I had the lamb rack. Haha).

When i first visited straight after covid ; the food took for over 45mins to come and the portion size was very little; we had to eat more afterwards. However; we visited again recently with our clients due to other places being all fully booked.. i was worried due to previous experience. SURPRISINGLY, this time; the food came out just in time and the portion size was reasonable compared to before. Clients were happy and so were we. Im happy to visit again for dinner:)
