   Dinner was okay. There was a function so you could tell a lot of the focus was on that. Only looked like one server for the inside. Summer time with no Air Conditioning is brutal so unless you wanna sweat during dinner hope or book a table outside. The loaded fries were drowned in sauce which just made them go soggy instantly. The burgers were tasty though. The buns were fluffy and light. The nachos were delicious, but was in the bites section came out like a main which was a pleasant surprise. Pork belly bites were a winner, soft in the middle crunchy on the outside. Probably need to get someone to fix the toilets or at least clean them. Went to use the toilet and there was piss all over the floor and the toilet seat was broken. I know drunk people aren’t the most polite in the bathrooms but it was 6:30pm on a Saturday. Only gonna get worse.

   Had a great experience. Service was wonderful despite being full. Our waitress Brooke was very attentive and friendly. She helped us with suggestions for our drink orders. Awesome place, will come again.

   Top notch customer service with very friendly team. We were served by Sophia who answered our queries about the menu and also was kind enough to take our photo. Its always a delight to come to Elephant Wrestler especially for big groups. They have plenty of space and kid-friendly atmosphere during lunch time. There’s a variety of food to choose from, always tasty, fresh and never dry. We enjoyed the pork belly and sirloin steak. Tiramisu is a must-have for dessert! We will definitely come back again.

   Wow this has to be one of the best places I have been in a long time for all round experience, atmosphere and staff. The way they were so accommodating for dietaries and how well our big group was after was superb. Awesome bartenders too! thanks team for a great night

   The Elephant Wrestler has beautiful food & great service. The serving staff were attentive and very well mannered and patient. We asked to move tables as we were sitting in the outdoor area, and the door was open, and they were more than happy to assist us with that. Their wagyu smash burger was top-notch. Seriously, so good. The meat was so tasteful that I couldn't believe how good it tasted & the pickkles added great flavor as well. We also had the Buttermilk Chicken, Pork Belly Bites, and ordered some chips. The Buttermilk chicken come boneless and with a sirachi sauce that had the perfect spice to it. The pork belly bites were good, but it was bit too heavy for me, but it did come with a little herby kind of slaw with chilies that gave it a refreshing taste. We went on a Saturday night and it was quite packed & a bit to loud for my liking but you know it's a Saturday & they have a great atmosphere so I understand why it was quite popular on thsi specific day.    This used to be one of Takapuna's icons. No longer. We went for a steak and once we had ordered our drinks and committed to stay we were told steak was off the menu. Our friend ordered a gluten free chicken burger and once the rest of us had our meals delivered, she was told the chicken in the burger had crumbs and was not gluten free. The food was below average, the disabled toilets were out of order and the men's toilets were very sub par as regards cleanliness and hygiene. For the drinks menu, everything but the beer had prices on it. We did not know the draft Heineken was $13 a glass. Is it legal to not have prices on the beers so you can order to your budget? Overall a horrible experience...will never go back.

   During the day I'm going to assume it looks a bit better as it's clean and likely less busy than I suspect it gets at night, but overall, it still just feels like a cookie cutter NZ beer bar (and I think it is part of that larger brewery chain family). Inside and outside seating makes for good pictures when empty at least, and the outdoor wall art is pretty good. Chicken burger looked better than the beef one and was pretty good as I recall. Pizzas were okay. However, for me I think it's still just a place I'd go to when my mates want to have a beer during the day with or without kids in tow as the menu and tap variance is more aligned to drunken late nights I feel.

   Staff was very friendly and accomodating despite the inconvenience of the lockdown -- they are definitely doing their best to keep the place clean and safe. The food was good, and portions were huge! Just keep that in mind:) Especially loved the buttermilk chicken entree -- very tasty. A little bit pricey for some things, but I enjoyed the experience and would come back.
