It's been years since I had been to Turo-Turo. Food was good, simple and tasty, the restaurant clean and well maintained. The current owner is also the chef took over the place in 2019. Do stop there for a meal next time you're in GI. We'll need to head back to try the crispy pata...

Such a quaint little place! It's a bit hidden around the corner of a set of shops. Very good serving sizes for the price, highly recommended.

The place is not that big so might be crowded when the cafe is full and not that fancy. We ordered the Joyful Chicken Spaghetti meal and Joyful Fried Chicken. They were generous to give us 3 pieces (missed from the picture) of the fried chicken instead of 2. Chicken was juicy, delicious and have that hint of a taste from Jollibee fried chicken. I haven’t tasted the spaghetti but my sister in law said it was nice. Halo Halo Deluxe is good for 2 people sharing. Overall all experience is excellent.

Been here twice but the first one was for takeaways order. Place is generously enough for an intimate party. Portions are good enough for one person, would recommend the place to a friend.

If you want authentic Filipino food, Turo-Turo is a place to go to. This place isn't big, but is quite popular during lunch hour especially in the weekends so might need to wait for a bit to get a table. Their food are quite nice, especially like their crispy pata (pork knuckle) it tasted very similar to the German version of the pork knuckle. But instead of serving it with sauerkraut they serve that with a soy-vinegar sauce which also have the same effect of cutting down the greasiness of the pork fat. Another favourite is their joyful chicken (deep-fried chicken), it tasted similar to one of the fast-food chain but it was crunchy and not as oily, the gravy on the side tasted like from that chain too. Worth mentioning their ube (purple yam) ice-cream, it was quite nice has an interesting aroma. Interesting little Filipino restaurant.

To be fair my sisig was quite nice but everything else we ordered wasn't. The longganisa on the longsilog was poorly seasoned and the texture of the meat was odd. The siomai was also poorly seasoned. We were going to give their halo-halo a go but they ran out of ube ice cream. The cafe is cosy and clean albeit a little bit run down. The exterior does not much for the imagination and could do with a little pimping. Although, the waitress was courteous and attentive and the prices are relatively cheap, taste and flavour does come first and unfortunately Turo-Turo is lacking in this aspect. It does have a huge potential and I would love for them to revisit their menu or rethink their menus.

The place is ok. Food is just all right though can be improved. I came with my wife and three friends and ordered bicol express, joy chicken, kare-kare, sisig and bangsilog. Bicol express is sour while the kare-kare is bland. Bangislog is alright though we felt that we were mislead to believe that its a whole milkfish as per the menu picture. Sisig is just fine but it not as good as i expected and the serving I felt is too small. Unexpectedly the Joy chicken was good but it cost $16 a pop and though i could get a better deal at KFC for $20.
