   Such a bad experience, the guy that was working with glasses in white 3/8/25. He was so so so rude. He hit one of my friends while opening the door, and didn’t even say sorry and just walked out. Plus they have no lighter for cakes, no knife, nothing. Food was very poorly presented; they asked us to clean ourselves. Asking us not to make a mess for him to clean up later - we book a room ( supposed to be private - but can hear what everyone outside is saying). Would never visit again - and if you’re seeing this trust me I saw the bad reviews before visiting didn’t believe it. Now I do and would never go again.

   I ordered the pork trotter recommended by the chef, squirrel fish (sweet and sour fish) and green veggies. They were all really nice. The pork trotter was very tender and full of flavour. The squirrel fish was not too sweet or too sour which was just nice. The fish itself was very fresh and the frying time was nicely controlled. The veggies was nice, too, even though it was a bit too oily, given the type of veggies we ordered had to use a lot of oil to stir fry otherwise it would taste weird.

   A great spot for large gatherings, with authentic-tasting food that wasn’t overpriced. However, many items on the drink menu (alcoholic) were unavailable during our visit, and the service was a bit slow. Although our table wasn’t near the smoking area, we could still smell cigarettes while having dinner, which was disappointing.

   It's a not recommend from me. Service was good, it can not however compensate for the rest. Food were terrible presentation looks like left over from another dish just slapped on to the dish. I am not suggesting that it was leftovers, to the ppl in the kitchen if you can not be stuff doing your job, just leave don't ruined your employer business and the effort of foh. However FOH should also haved look at the dish presentation before putting it in front of the customer. The vegetables in the dishes were hastily cut and uneven cooked unevenly some part were cooked other were crunchy raw or half cooked. Management needs to move smokers from the doorways cigarettes smokes got into the restaurants defeats the purpose of no smoking policy.

   very good I started to eat in this place at the very beginning when they took over from the previous one. I was amazed by the taste by then. Even surprised me the most is they have very steady quality of the food. This is not easy especially Chinese cuisine is not something you can learn and pass on the LL legacy with some recipes. Pearl is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Auckland, it is still.

   One of my fave Chinese Restaurants. The manger has the best service. The food is delicious. Except some dishes’ portions a little bit small for the price. The price is a little expensive but definitely worth. Black Pepper Diced Beef with Pleurotus Erygnii and Yeung Chow Fried Rice are my favourite. Kimchi is their recent new dish. It has cabbage, apple, orange and ginger. Very refreshing as an appetiser. The interior is very nice too.

   this place is well decorated. staff were in manner and helpful. Food here is mostly east chinese cuisine. we ordered 3 traditional dishes and rice, all of them tasted good, and resonable priced.
