   I tried many Indian eateries here in Auckland and found the pure real Indian authentic taste. Their thalis are best however Pani Puri is not as expected. Overall value for money with great service and cleanliness. Also ample parking space available.

   Really loved the momos here. Tried steamed and schzwan and both were really delicious. Pav bhaji was uninspiring, but the chowmein noodles were good. So not all dishes are good, but some were great. They have a bit serving food which was quite novel. Good selection of Indian sweets and desserts, crowded on weekends and holidays but plenty of parking. Best thing is everything is vegetarian so plenty of choices

   Have been here several times and the food has always been amazing. Authentic Indian cuisine with a wide variety of options - and all vegetarian. Food is always fresh, and the prices are also pretty reasonable. The Indian sweets are on the pricier side though. I had the chole bhature, which was freshly made, the chole had a good spice level and the bhature was fluffy and hot! My favourite! The service itself is just alright and they now have mechanical carts delivering food, so it takes away some personal touches in my opinion.

   I tried their new place after recommendation (The Indian Butter Chicken & Biryani) I recently visited this restaurant based on a chef's recommendation and decided to try their Biryani and order Family Pack. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The Biryani had several issues that left a lot to be desired. Firstly, the taste was really bad. It lacked the authentic flavors and aromatic spices that make Biryani so special. It felt like the dish was missing key ingredients or had been poorly seasoned. Secondly, the Biryani was served cold. It's quite disheartening to receive a lukewarm dish, especially when you expect it to be piping hot and freshly prepared. The lack of proper temperature maintenance was evident. Furthermore, it was apparent that the Biryani was not freshly made. The flavors seemed dull and lacked the vibrant freshness that one expects from a quality Biryani. It's important for a restaurant to ensure that their dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail. Lastly, even the attempt to heat up the dish seemed inadequate. It was not heated properly, which further contributed to the overall dissatisfaction with the meal. A dish as complex as Biryani requires proper heating to bring out its flavors and textures.

For a comprehensive taste of what Bikanervala has to offer, the Henderson Thali is highly recommended. Each curry in the Thali, be it paneer, chickpea, lentil, potato, or Manchurian dumpling, has its own unique flavor profile that tantalizes the taste buds. The papri chat, with its balanced and delicious toppings, is a standout among the array of dishes. And for those with a sweet tooth, the Gulab Jamun is a must-try. One cannot talk about Bikanervala without mentioning their signature dosa, a meter-long roll of crispy pan-fried fermented batter that is nothing short of impressive. Their tandoori mushrooms are also an unexpected delight that can rival any non-vegetarian tandoori dish. The restaurant has a simple, utilitarian decor that adds to its charm. The service is quick and the food arrives piping hot. The fast and efficient service, coupled with the clean environment and ample seating, makes for a comfortable dining experience.    Saturday and Sunday, All you can eat buffet. All food is vegetarian, please ask the staff regarding vegan food. Great price for what you get. The food is very tasty and the price is exceptional for what you get. Drinks are an add-on however water is provided. It feels a bit cramped however you can seat small families or friends groups. There are no bookings and you may need to wait outside to get a seat. Toilets are clean and well kept.

   Chole bhature was 5/5, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Samosa was 5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jalebi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Masala dosa 2/5 ⭐️⭐️ I would surely visit again for mostly north indian cusine but wont recommend for south indian dishes.

   Overall, the place is nicely lit and that makes a good sitting. The food quality is average in three aspects of taste, quantity and quality. There is an undercurrent of rudeness amongst the staff. The hygiene of the washroom does not convey tidiness. The “chane” mentioned in thali on menu card are actually “chole”. So if you order thali and chole bhature, you will end up with the same curry. If it was India, this would be a street side average place. There is a bot that delivers food and that may be catch some attention. My message to staff “a smile costs nothing but pays everything”.

   Went in last week man this place never disappoints me.. but they really need to work on Filter coffee. Love this place.. I always go here with my family. Reasonable pricing. Reasonable quantity never has let me down on any dishes. Bring the authentic flavours of Northern-India. Always my go. And will always come back..
