St Pierre’s usually does not disappoint but I came into this store last week friendly ladies when I walked in but I had brought teriyaki chicken and rice. When I finished eating it my stomach got upset that’s because it was not made on the day and was leftover from day before.i should have taken a picture of the sticker. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but from st Pierre’s is a bit disappointing.

I am an Uber driver, and I regularly pick up food orders from Sushi Whangaparāoa. However, I’ve been facing an ongoing issue with one of the staff members — a Chinese lady who consistently gives me low ratings and treats me disrespectfully. Each time I visit for a pickup, she behaves rudely and has even made racist and abusive comments toward me. I have already raised this issue with the owner, but unfortunately, no action has been taken so far. This situation has made me feel very uncomfortable and disrespected, even though I always act politely and professionally.

This sushi shop is extremely stingy. I bought two boxes of sushi — one large and one medium — and a single small paper bag couldn’t fit them both. When I asked for another bag, they refused. The cashier insisted she could fit both boxes into the small bag, but after struggling for a while, she finally forced them in. When I got home and opened it, I found that a lot of the sauce had stuck to the boxes. If I had bought the two boxes of sushi separately and asked for bags to take them away, they would have had to provide two small paper bags anyway. The price of the sushi should already include basic items like chopsticks, napkins, and small bags, yet they refused to give me an extra one. Such stingy service is simply unacceptable.

Honestly, that sushi was rough. The rice was dry, the fish tasted tired, and nothing felt fresh. It’s like they gave up halfway through making it. Even the soy sauce couldn’t save it. The Salmon tasted like it had been through things that it couldn’t explain. I wouldn’t even wish this on my worst enemy, it tasted more like rice mushed together with rotten fish? The table was absolutely putrid with split drink all over the table making the experience even worse than it was when I first got there.

Today is the second day of school holidays and there was a brick activity infront of Cotton On. I am very much disappointed with the service. This is not the first time I got bad service from this branch. Though I usually buy sushi as my child loves it instead of buying sushi at the mall we opted St Pierre Sushi as they have the kid's sushi smaller compared to the mall it's bigger which is better for adults. My other option is Millwater sushi, Costumer Service is fantastic but since we're at Silverdale Centre where we're heading to the mall afterwards so I just buy at St Pierre Silverdale. I do not recommend this. It's better to go to the mall if no kid's or go to Millwater Sushi on your way. They're always friendly on that shop. First we just entered St Pierre and went directly to the end where the kid's Sushi are, we're still choosing and the 2 cashier's are making us hurry, my child is choosing mochi for his dessert and still I can hear and sense on the cashiers voice that we needed to hurry. It could have been handled differently by saying to the next Costumer with a nice voice like hi you can pay on this side. Take note it's not too crowded but I can see one or more behind us. They could have been choosing too. Otherwise don't place those desserts near the counter so that Costumer doesn't need to hurry. I only buy here as my last option. If I'm by myself I buy at the mall or at Millwater. I only buy for my son though as I don't feel buying sushi for myself with people hurrying me up. We went to another Cafe with my child's Sushi and they're lovely. I bought my child a chocolate drink and I bought myself lunch too. Hopefully this branch will improve their Costumer Service. I passed by Silverdale St. Pierre and saw this advertisement on the wall. I would like to send a message to the FB page so that owner will read it directly. This is clearly a misleading advertisement. It was posted on the wall this photo. How I wish you have advertisement of changing each photo everyday. The ladies serving said that Today is crabmeat they call it Californian. Outside it was advertised as salmon on the photo. Better read the words. I saw the photo from afar. If not let the words bigger. I will never ever go back on this branch. Big lesson to me during school holidays and Today. October 9,2025 (Thursday) I don't recommend this shop.

Always a large selection of sushi and if the one you want isn't there they will make it for you pretty quickly.

Rice is not top of my list to start with but I do eat it and cook with it. I get the Prawn Tails, Shrimps and immitation Crab meat ( Canadian Pollock fish reconstituted), covered in a seafood dressing and a squeeze of lemon . Otherwise it's either their chicken, salmon, rolled up with rice and you can add horseradish for some heat and drizzle some wasabi.

One of the unfriendliest branches I have been too. I asked a staff member behind the counter a question about sushi that she was busy making, all she said was "NO", just plain RUDE, doesn't greet, no eye contact. I won't support this branch again, the customer is KING! I'll rather support the "SUSHI HOUSE" just down the road with larger sushi portions & run by the owner and his wife which are super friendly & appreciate every $1. 1 STAR rating.
