“Lovely school with lovely teachers & management”

“This childcare centre is great. My daughter attended for 4 years and has a lot of special memories. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is a low staff turnover with quite a few staff there for 10+ years. There are two houses, under 2's and over 2's and there is a good settling in process when then move up to the over 2 house. It may not look like the flashest place (compared to all the new daycares starting up) but as a mother, I prefer a family friendly place with excellent staff.”

“KinderCare Kilbirnie has been the best daycare for my precious little first born. I was so nervous about finding the right place for my little boy who was 20 months when he joined KinderCare. I will always be grateful to them for offering me a place when they did. I was blown away by how friendly, caring and attentive everyone is. From Shelly at reception to Varsha who makes all the nutritious food to all the teachers - they know all the children’s and parents’ names even though they are quite a big centre, and we always get a warm welcome every morning. The teachers, especially Oliver, Ella and Abbie who my son talks about daily, were so great at helping my little boy (and me!) settle into daycare. I can see the teachers genuinely care about all the kids and are really good at responding to the individual needs and concerns for each child, including how their naps are going and even toilet training. There is a huge outdoor space for the kids to run around as well as focused activities indoors. They are really great at organising events for parents and grandparents too and really nurture family values and respecting all the different cultures. When new ECE policies come in, they do all the heavy lifting for us. I would really recommend KinderCare Kilbirnie for the care, support and attention they provide families (not just the child).”

It’s so sad to have our son’s Kindercare journey come to an end, but we can see the values, self-confidence and self-worth you have all helped to develop and strengthen in him as he navigates making new friends, tackling new challenges and making the big transition to school. He has made such wonderful friends through his journey (as have we!) and I’m sure he will be keen to say hi whenever he swings by dropping off or picking up his brother. Kindercare provided such a supportive, collaborative environment to help him thrive during transitions and periods of change, as well as build his language and understanding of his body and mind as we navigate the world with his potential neurodiverse diagnosis. The extra meetings with kaiako to build individualised plans and strategies to use at daycare and carry over to home as well were such a huge help for us to build confidence and resilience as a family while we figured out what worked best to support him. Kaiako listened and made us feel heard and valued when things were tough and celebrated with us when things went well. You have given our son the space to grow in his own unique way. We’re so very proud of our big man heading off to school and everything he has achieved socially, emotionally, physically and academically at Kindercare. You’ve been a home for him to grow and learn, and for that we will be forever grateful.”

“We were glad that we placed our son in Little Wonders' care. The environment is friendly, professional and educational. The teachers and staff are so caring, loving, genuine, down to earth, and trust worthy. Children play outside in the nice big backyard with lots of things to play on. There's just a wide variety of play and learn going on. My son loved Little Wonders, too bad we had to move to Auckland. I highly recommend Little Wonders to anyone needing childcare for their children. Thank you so much to Kuku and Paua room teachers especially to his key teachers, Chrishanti and Juliet. “Our little wild child has been attending this daycare since he was 6 months old — and somehow, they’ve managed to keep up with him (which honestly deserves its own award). Now, two years later, he’s thriving! He can count to ten, sing the alphabet, and even serenades us with songs in different languages none of which we taught him, so we’re giving full credit to the teachers. The staff are absolute saints endlessly patient, encouraging, and miraculously tolerant of our child’s energy levels (which rival a small tornado) We’re so grateful for the care, laughter, and learning they provide.”
