The most important part is that John wouldn't deliberately overstate the issue for you to pay more than necessary. He is a very honest person. That's why I stick with him for my three cars in the past six years. Worth to mention that he has a very professionally customized Wrangler which is perfect for rescuing in difficult road conditions. “I needed a sill repaired on an older model car to meet the WOF. Not looking to spend a great deal I chose Evoke Bodyworks as it was open Sat am and recommended by both MoneyHub.co.nz and TopReviews.co.nz. Aaron inspected the vehicle on the spot, explained the repair required and showed me the cost breakdown on his computer. I said I hope it’s the same price whether you’re a bloke or a not-so-careful lady driver. He said it was, and I agree it was a good price. The work was top notch, but it was the after sale service which was above and beyond. Part way through the job Aaron told me there was further damage down the sill, but after I asked if it would pass the WOF regardless he offered to do it without charge as the removal, refit and paint was already covered. Not only that, a few weeks later some lowlife keyed my car. I phoned for the paint code, and Aaron suggested I just pop by and collect the rest of the paint as it was ‘going in the bin anyway’. Will I go back? I’ll never go anywhere else. I usually can’t be bothered doing reviews, but I would recommend Evoke Bodyworks to friends, family and colleagues in a heartbeat. “All my cars were wof and serviced at nostalgia motors. Which has since been shut down. Gray street motors and pertucularly Craig were recommended to me by one of the old nostalgia staff. And oh boy, they weren't wrong. Craig is an absolute top lad. I took my freshly build engined car to him, and he treated it with the utmost due diligence, didn't idle it at all, drove it with care keeping an eye on the criticsl stuff, went over everything. Even adjusted a few things that were wrong himself free of charge. And made time (as it required more time then an average car would due to the certification checks and everything). Without a second thought. Would recommend them. And especially Craig. I'm sure everyone else is just as good but my interactions have been primarily Craig. TLDR, if you need a proper wof for your modified/stock car. Go see Craig.”

“After failing my WOF at VTNZ, I went to the VTNZ recommend garage. They quoted $850 for 2 ball joints. Luckily I came to Paokwhai Autos for another quote. Scott did the job for $450 in only 3 hours. Nearly half the price for the exact same job! Great communication, good location (with loan cars) and a genuine operator.
