“So much fun here last night. Rung up early hours of the morning on a Saturday to book a room. The guy was lovely, friendly and accomodating. Great selection of fun songs that everyone could sing along too. Defo rate it!! Thanks so much for a good night.”
“It's a basic student venue. Beer on tap, some house wine, nothing flash. Perfect for a rowdy band.”
“If you haven’t been to Greenfields Bar yet, you are seriously missing out on the greatest hidden gem in town! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with an atmosphere that's warm, inviting, and simply electrifying. The ambiance is the perfect blend of cozy and vibrant, making it the ultimate spot for a night out, whether you're with friends or just looking for a place to unwind. But let’s talk about the real star of the show—MIKE, the bartender! This man isn’t just a bartender; he’s an artist, a magician, and an absolute legend! His cocktails? Pure perfection. Every drink is crafted with expert precision, and you can tell he pours his heart and soul into every single one. Whether you're craving a classic Old Fashioned or a creative, off-the-menu masterpiece, Mike will deliver something that blows your mind. Beyond his insane mixology skills, Mike is the heart and soul of Greenfields. He’s charismatic, hilarious, and makes every guest feel like an A-lister. His ability to read the room, remember people’s favorite drinks, and keep the energy high is second to none. Need a drink recommendation? He’s got you. Want great conversation? Mike’s got stories for days. Feeling down? He’ll turn your night around in an instant. Greenfields Bar isn’t just a place to grab a drink—it’s an experience. And with Mike behind the bar, it becomes unforgettable. Do yourself a favor: go to Greenfields, ask for Mike, and prepare to have the best night of your life. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 PERFECTION!”
“What a great place to discover. This friendly bar and restaurant about 60 metres from Waiwera beach has the relaxed beach vibe in abundance. Inside there is a restaurant end with about 8 tables, then there is a bar area which opens into a covered outdoor area with pool table and pizza bar with wood fired pizzas. Service was friendly and functional and the business seems to be family run. Food was excellent. Best lamb shank I’ve had in ages with excellent flavours. Prawn salad was also very good. Beer was ice cold and they had a good collection of spirits as well as smoothies and non-alcoholic drinks. I think for me the relaxed atmosphere was what I enjoyed the most - like stepping into some place you’ve known all your life and instantly relaxing. Waiwera town feels a bit run down but the history with the hot pools (now closed) is interesting and it has retained its sleepy charm. If you’re going to Wenderholm consider lunch or dinner at Sugarloaf beach bar.”
