    “Kia ora. I went to Awa Ink through the recommendation of a friend and work colleague. I was born in Melbourne, Australia, and have lived full time in New Zealand since 1997. I have a number of old skool type tattoos which I had done during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The only tattoo that meant anything to me is my daughter's name on a ribbon and love heart type design. I really wanted something new that tells my story and truly means something to me. Tawhiri absolutely exceeded my expectations with a beautiful Tā moko telling my story along with my daughter's name and the name of my mokopuna. I requested the Southern Cross be included as I was born under this constellation and is featured on the Australian flag where I was born and the New Zealand flag where I have lived for close to 30 years. I also have a connection to Samoa through a very close friend which also features the Southern Cross on its flag. My overall experience with Tawhiri at Awa Ink absolutely exceeded my expectations. Thank you Tawhiri. Ngā mihi nui”
