“First trial, was impressed by the reception staff who took the phone call. ( Previous call to opposition left me feeling very patronized!!) . Lightning Direct is attached to the WOF station on Brooklyn Rd. Good waiting time for work to be done. Given a fair quote for reasonable (jobs not kept up, for so long) assessed work that could be done in sections. Returned to complete one section. Very happy with the result. Plus chargers were a little under the quote. Second time back to the mechanics part, at Lightning Direct, also happy with the result. Additionally , a better payment for me as they didn't charge for what they didn't need to use. Appreciated that. Felt secure in dealing with the firm.”

“I can’t rate Mat and his team high enough. We had a road accident due to a mechanical failure on the trailer causing the boat to come off the trailer. I had used Matcraft once before for some minor perectly matched gelcoat repairs, so they were my only choice for repairing the boat.. There was no structural damage, just cosmetic and fittings. These repairs are usually the hardest as it’s what you see. I have seen some poor repairs done on mates boats by so called professionals. All repairs were done with perfectly matched gelcoat, no paint. I am fussy how my gear looks and while initially talking with Matt at the start of the job, he said to me, I’ve done this before, when you get the boat back, you won’t even know its happened, which is exactly what I got. Another testimony to their workmanship was from the stainless guys who did the bow rail repair. They asked me why has such a new boat got such an old motor. The motor is still the original. Matt and his team took care of everything and arranged the new trailer. I have had several random comments at the boat ramp complementing me on the condition of the boat and how smart it looks. If you are in need of any type of boat repair and care about the final result and how it looks, Matt and his team at Matcraft are that guys to use. Thanks Matt for the great service and outstanding craftsmanship.”

“Coming home at 8.30pm to find your hot water cylinder leaking and a massive wet patch on the carpet. Tried phoning various 24 hour plumbers no response from anyone. Only option was to ring a plumber that we had used before knowing that they were not open but left a message so that we could deal with it the next day. Within 20 minutes we received a phone call fro Matt and within 15 minutes he was out our door. A temporary fix to get us through the night and he was back the next morning to remedy the situation. Matt is a legend and I have nothing but praise for him and the company who always do a top job. Thank you so much for your speedy response and excellent service. I had driven to Hamilton from Te Awamutu and my car had overheated, so popped into Frankton Car Clinic to see if it was ok to drive home again. I had interrupted their morning tea break and they had a number of cars already in the bays, and yet they dropped everything, found the problem (needed a new thermostat) and arranged to get it repaired that day. “First time with this business..needed car fixed before placing warrent on. Service was Fast ,effective ,and a friendly gentleman to deal with. Car on same day was repaired ..the warrent issued ..job done within a descent time frame.. cost to fix car was descent and honest. I also like that once job was completed you recieve your Bill statement with full description of prices charged for parts,labour etc on statement with Total cost for repairs clearly showing customer the price for them to fix customers vehicle. “True professional from start to finish. I contacted Hamish via the contact page on his website. He called back within the day, had come out and looked at my home and provided a quote within 2 days. This was right before Christmas. He then came and completed my job within the first week after the Christmas and New Year break. His communication and customer service was absolutely outstanding and his prices were extremely reasonable. The job was completed to an extremely high standard. In all honesty he has to be the best tradesman I have ever dealt with. All other companies I contacted to replace my gutters were either too busy to come out, came out and looked but never came back with a quote or their quote was significantly more expensive. I find it hard to believe the 2 one star reviews below. They must have had the wrong phone number or something.”
