“Great service, tastey food with friendly helpful staff.”
“Very friendly service from the little bubbly Asian lady, that made our day better after the disappointment of 15% surcharges for public holdays and thinking we wouldn't get a coffee and breakfast. No surcharge, thats a bonus, the coffee was good as was the food.”
“Very warm and welcoming place. It is what one would imagine as a place to eat while thinking about a village or a small town like Lincoln. The food is good. I had so many good memories about this place. On a cold and windy day getting a coffee for myself and hot chocolate for my kids. On Friday after long and exhausting week lunch coffee with a pie. And today with all the rain we get at the moment delicious spicy pumpkin soup was the most appreciated thing for me and my wife.”
“Very Friendly customer service and I love the coffees just how we like them very hot also have tried the food it's good also sit and relax with pool view is a bonus with a friendly atmosphere.”
“I'm on a quest to find the best cheese scone in Christchurch. Someone recommended me this cafe, and let me tell you.... this is my sixth scone for review and you are now top of my list! Truly the best cheese scone in Chch. It's really the flavour that makes it so good. I think a lot of places focus more on texture which is not a bad idea, but it's gotta be well rounded. This scone has it all. I'd love to come back and try the gluten free one. Coffee was also amazing. The two ladies, one on till and one on coffee, were both incredible as well and had such lovely vibes. 10/10 experience”
“Ordered our hot chocolate. We were going to get a cheesescone each, but there was only one left. So decided against it. Got our hot chocolates, just as we were leaving a fresh bat h came out. We should have asked but didnt. Excellent service and hot chocolate was one of the best we have had.”
On the plate at The Preservatory Cafe Delicatessen, the idea is coffee‑and‑cabinet and well judged. Clear gluten‑free options are available. Desserts close the meal with familiar comfort. The team keeps things friendly and organised.
“Love these guys always happy to see you...great coffee ☕”
“Decent food at a reasonable price. On a fine day there is outside seating and a gazebo. They have a cooked meal available too that is cheap and free cuppa tea or instant coffee. Nice staff.”
“Pretty good, been there once like 3 years ago. Mum got a coffee and I got a hot chocolate. Pretty cheap and tastes good. Love y'all ”
“Only tried the coffee but the coffee was made to perfection (with Unknown Chapter). Friendly and quick service. A nice small coffee stop when using the Rec Centre.”
“The coffee here is a lovely dark roast and made to a high standard. There's some nice cabinet food, but I recommend the menu options, which are all delicious and reasonably priced. The seating is super-comfy and there's heaps of tables. Easy parking.”
“So far so good. Our car is safe, the shuttle was nice wee ride to the airport and there is a place to have a cofe if you would like to have one”
“Great drinks, berry smoothie was the best. Breakfast was very good, eggs poached perfectly and the best tomato sauce I've had in ages. Excellent service, all staff were helpful, prompt and made me feel welcome. A few other cafes in Christchurch could learn a lot from these guys. Will definitely be back.”
“Reading books while having coffee? What's not to love? I ordered mocha and it was lovely. Also the toilets are really clean, to think that the cafe is busy, and, and, and,(yes 3 "ands")because they've got 3 bathrooms! With exclamation point! They've got 3 clean toilets! Normally cafe's have only one right? But they've got 3 and it's a big deal for me because I've got 2 kids 6&4 where they tell you that they need to go the toilet when it's almost too late (mom's will know what i mean). Therefore I highly recommend this to all mom's out there who just want to go out once in a while and have a simple coffee.”
“This is the place to go when you want a decent large coffee and simple but delicious food. Prices are reasonable and the blueberry muffins are the best I’ve found anywhere. This is where you should go if you’re looking for a classic kiwi cafe without all the bells and whistles, just good honest food and friendly people.”
“On vacation to NZ and stopped by for cappuccino with my brother while waiting for family who went shopping. The capp tasted great and the service was quick and friendly. I will recommend this joint in a heartbeat.”
“Quite impress with the quality of the food, everything looks super fresh and was delicious with no doubt. Excellent option for breakfast specially if you grab first table what makes cheaper.”
“Lovely food, excellent service. Great experience :)”
“Came quite early in the morning ordered two cappuccinos and they were amazing thanks heaps”
“Spacious, great service and delicious food. I had to rush away when my breakfast was being prepared, and the staff were so understanding of this. Thank you!”
“Such a great place to go and have breakfast or lunch. The food is delish and the staff are so lovely and welcoming. I am a mum of a 3 year old and I loved how they were super accomodating and there was a lovely little area for her to play while I could sit down and enjoy my smoothie. I will definitely be a regular.”
“Delicious vege wraps and cheese muffins. Excellent range of slices and the coffee is always great. And the staff are consistently lovely friendly people.”
“Best location. Great coffee and the best loos in the city. Wish the loos played tunes so none could hear me while they were perusing the floura in the botanical garden.”
“Delicious Big breakfast soo yummy love it”
“Awesome food And great customer”
“Very tasty vegan paella. Rate all food served here highly.”
“We came in during the morning tea rush as a family of ten. We were greeted politely by Wes and informed of the wait on kitchen food (always appreciated!!!) We had incredible coffee made by Tania. Then our food was brought out by the friendly Wendy, who thanked us for our patience. The food was out in 15 minutes and made by a single chef named Kim. The food was stunning and the poached eggs were perfect. This was the best experience we have had whilst in Christchurch!! All of the staff went above and beyond and seemed genuinely happy to be there. As someone who works in Hospitality, I know how hard it can be at times.. and understand the pressure Hospo workers have been under lately!! Thank you so much for the best experience!!! (As I am writing this, our plates were promptly cleared by another incredibly polite lady)”
“Friendly service, really good coffee, and a view of the estuary”
“Nice coffee, tasty fresh pies. Convenient 5 min park just out front. Friendly service and cute little shop☺️”
