Very friendly service from the little bubbly Asian lady, that made our day better after the disappointment of 15% surcharges for public holdays and thinking we wouldn't get a coffee and breakfast. No surcharge, thats a bonus, the coffee was good as was the food.
We arrived here just before 3 pm and easily found seats. The counter staff was friendly and served us with a smile. We ordered the sausage roll and chocolate caramel. Both were reasonably good and didn't have any specific issues. I ordered the flat white, and it was also good.
The latte looks so unprofessional. Should have a better pattern, but turns out nothing. So disappointed. Coffee is good tbh.
The lady who served us was amazing! She was very friendly and super fast with getting our food for everyone. We didn’t expect so many chips in the bowl of fries! I’d recommend ordering a side of fries if you can’t eat many. I do wish they would make iced mocha’s, i find it odd for a cafe to not have them on the menu. Good food options in the cabinet. The panini had the egg on one side and half a has brown on the other, so you have to rearrange it a bit to eat all the fillings together. It can get busy on the weekends so it can be hard to get a seat inside. They provide lots of outdoor seating though!
Good cafe and probably one of the best in the Hub shopping mall. It will be even better if it had some vegan friendly food options. Almost nothing vegetarian/ vegan to chose from. I don’t know what is about this country that everything has to be around eggs and dairy, but Robert Harris is a chain with locations over town/ South Island so try for corporate to wake up and follow trends in the rest of the world. Coffee is quite good at least there are alternative milk options to chose, service is also very professional and friendly. If you are yea lover there is a selection of few options and it’s a real tea! Must try! Place is order yourself but they bring to your table. It Can get very crowded lunch time but there are some outdoor seats. Overall much better alternative than American cafe on the other side and first choice for coffee / tea in Hub.
We had a good quick coffee and lunch. The roasted vegetable salad were so creamy.
Lovely friendly staff. Great choices of different foods. Some GF and keto. Everything looked well presented and our choices were delicious. Coffee and hot chocolate tasted wonderful and staff were very helpful and friendly. I would go back for the service alone.
Best eggs Benedict and my connoisseur baked bean husband has even confessed best baked beans on his big breakfast. After dining there we ate it so fast we had to come back to see if it was as good as the first time and I managed to take photos first before enjoying another taste bud melting moment. I gave the atmosphere 5 star as it is a mall cafe and it can only be so moody and peaceful. Sighhhhhh I feel so content now.
There are varieties of cooked food in the window, I ordered chicken cheese cranberries bagel, the first bite was very tasty, but it’s a little bit cloying as there are too much cream cheese.
