“We highly rate Portobelo! We have children in the preschool and nursery. We are consistently impressed with the caring, attentive, playful and professional nature of the teachers. There is regular communication on what activities the kids have been up to and each day at pick up they make an effort to let us know something special about their day. Their emotional and physical wellbeing is readily taken care of and the communication is efficient with regards to this. Our kids have developed bonds with their teachers and speak positively of them in our home, they really make it a great place. The set up is homely, yet modern, with great natural back yard with plenty of room - seperately for the nursery and preschool. Our kids strengths are supported, our boy is free to create amazing things and develop his problem solving skills. And our wee girl is provided with care she needs to develop independence. With regular events, we feel a part of the Portobelo community and it feels like a second family for our kids. If you are looking for a caring, enriching environment for your tamariki look no further!”

“Both of our daughters went to Kindercare Wigram from when they were 6months old until they started school. Every one of the teachers and support staff always made us feel welcome each day, staff were always approachable and the communication was amazing. Our girls were loved and cared for each day and their days were full of fun and different learning activities and opportunities. The transition to school from preschool was seamless and they were well prepared for school thanks to the amazing teachers at Kindercare. We have made lifelong friends from families at preschool and my daughters always love going back for a catch up.”

“Our daughter Arya has been attending Deb’s Place Early Learning Centre since November, when she was 3½ years old. Moving from Sri Lanka and adjusting to a new community and culture has been a big journey for our family, and this centre has been an incredible support along the way. It’s a place where children are encouraged to bloom socially, emotionally, and creatively. We have seen Arya grow in confidence, imagination, and happiness since joining. The management and teachers are warm, professional, and highly qualified. They provide not only excellent care and learning experiences for the children but also reassurance and support for parents. “Beststart has some of the most calming and easy to communicate stuff members. Their goals of early childhood education is clear and direct and easy to follow along with, especially for the growth of your children.I would recommend highly to anyone who needs a pre-school/Daycare. One thing I struggled with was money but Best Start offers affordable daycare. Very thankful to have them so close to home ♡”

“My children have been involved with this music school for over three years now. Their classes are a highlight of their (and my) week. The teachers are friendly and talented educators. The rooms are warm, bright and welcoming. As well as having fun their musical aptitude is going from strength to strength. My five year old plays piano with both hands. My seven year old can finally sing in tune. The Chch Music Academy classes are great value for money and an asset for the children of Christchurch. I love the easy parking too:)”

“We visited a lot of daycares in the area and chose the YMCA because we loved the community feel. The kids are always out and about, taking part in activities and visiting places like the gym, library and park. Our daughter took some time settling in but the teachers have been wonderful with her and now she has really found her feet and has made some great friends. We love the Y :)”

“They have a nice big play rooms and lovely teachers. My son loves to go here and he loves his teachers. I am at peace whenever I am at work knowing that my son is very well taken care of. I like the idea that they are serving healthy meals to the babies, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Because not all preschool are offering free food. I love how my son is going home with new learnings that he is showing to us. If ever I would have another baby again, I will definitely enroll in best start again ❤️”
