If something needs to be repaired, I have found the costs to be very reasonable, detailed clearly and in my case, parts were on hand for a speedy repair. “Had a car transported from Auckland to Christchurch. It arrived a day earlier than the vehicle tracker predicted. No noticable damage and friendly service at Christchurch end. The vehicle tracker is not all that up to date with the movement of the shipment but that is no biggy. Happy with service and would use again if required. To my mind,the Company is deserving of the 5 stars awarded.”

“We had a great experience with Ace rentals. We have tried them in Australia many times but this was first time with ace rentals New Zealand. Their services have really impressed us. Firstly shuttle from airport is so easy and quick to book, and you can book in advance via website. Pick up process is very good and smooth and they had already got our ready with all add ons we requested. On the trip we had got a chip on screen, and we got it checked as well. Then we got a invoice from ac rentals which was less than half of what was quoted by three different repair guys. And ace rentals dealt with it very smoothly with no inconvenience at our end. I’m always gonna use ace car rentals in New Zealand in future. They have my satisfaction”

“Thank you for all the complimentary and the odd not so complimentary reviews as it helps us to learn and provide a better service for you. Id like to clarify the two negative reviews below. A) Yes I did hire a sub-contractor to complete mechanical work in my workshop, on an as and when needed bases. This sub-contractors is no longer utilized by Cactus Cars. However if he chose to take on work for someone else on the weekend at his home around the time he sub-contracted to me and others and the job didn’t go to plan. This would be his business and has nothing to do with me as he wasn’t contracted by Cactus Cars to complete this job. and to be clear Tahlia, your vehicle has never been to by business. B) Your van was towed into us (Not starting) We spent about ½ checking your van and identified the plug leads were not transferring enough power to the spark plugs. You were given a price and agreed to have them replaced. You then asked if this would guarantee to fix it and were told “hopefully” this will be the only issue but couldn’t guarantee it. The plug leads were supplied & changed. The van spun over fast but still wouldn’t fire up. A local auto sparky was called in and was unable to identify any issues The customer was asked if they would like us to investigate further and we were told they were not prepared to pay us to investigate further. The customer was charged for the new plug leads, auto sparkys & our time. The customer then asked if a tow start would work and I advised not to as we didn’t know what the problem is. Later that day the customer decided to try and tow start the van, something broke and the engine seized . To be clear • We have no control over what a sub-contractor does when he’s not sub-contracting to us. • If a customer chooses not to take our advice and something goes wrong. We can’t be held responsible.”

Gizmos galore on the steering wheel plus paddles between that and the 'flash as' digital dashboard that automatically does nearly everything. Unbelievable! I was terrified BUT between the 3 men and the Turners coffee machine I couldn't have asked for a better experience. “I just fitted a Hilux battery that I received on warranty from TBS, and I have to say, the manager, Annie, after some initial skeptism about the batteries origin, presumably because of the staff member out back who eyeballed me as if I was about to pick his pocket. Anyhow, they gave me another battery to suit my old Hilux. I found the manager friendly, fair, and helpful. I have bought 5 batteries now from TBS and would recommend them again, but take a photo of your new battery with the receipt on top before you leave. As a frequent reviewer who has a following I would have got them some bad press, but everything came good. The important thing is they made it right on the warranty and sorted it out, so a big thank you from me to the TBS managers. Its the putting right that counts!”

“I have been here multiple times and these guys are awesome! They always fit me in last minute which I appreciate. The first time I thought I had a puncture and they had my car for a few hours and checked them and couldn’t find anything and didn’t even charge me, another time it was for a WOF and most recently I did actually have a bad puncture but turns out I needed 2x new tyres which are very expensive being run flats but was so appreciative they gave me the best possible price. I’m a single mum so always nervous about being taken advantage of with unnecessary repairs but that definitely doesn’t happen here. Thanks guys :)”
