   I've been a loyal customer of KBL Automotive for the past 4 years. They have kept my car maintained for WOF checks and have completed minor repairs to the brakes and water pump. I felt compelled to write this review as I always receive great service from Raj. They have service packages with set prices so there are no surprises when paying the bill. If something needs to be repaired, I have found the costs to be very reasonable, detailed clearly and in my case, parts were on hand for a speedy repair. I am a satisfied customer so I intend to return. Thank you KBL.

   Couldn’t fix the problem with my car. Said they had but they hadn’t. They had my car for weeks. Took it to Italian Job who then fixed it straight away. With all the technology they have these days and there are trained mechanics but still got it all so wrong !

   I took my 45 year old Mercedes in for a carburettor and timing tune up. I also asked that they adjust the valves. These jobs should be very straightforward for any ‘mechanic’ or workshop that advertises themselves as the go to place for classic euro cars. They had the car for nearly a week because apparently they only have 1 old guy who works on older cars and he’s part time or something. Anyway, after nearly a week I collected the car and discovered it ran pretty much exactly the same as before. When I asked they said they’d tested the timing and had also decided that the valve timing was within tolerance. I have since discovered that they pretty much did nothing to the car, the HT leads were degraded to the point the car was not even running on 6 cyl most of the time and the valve timing was so far out that the manifold pressure was significantly lower than where it should have been. These guys clearly looked at me and saw an easy way to make a buck. I have since purchased the basic equipment to work on the car myself, I would never go back to KBL, I think they might be part replacement technicians at best but they are not mechanics!! Perhaps they’re capable of a simple oil change and checking tire pressures but that would be the extent of their skill levels based on my experience.

   I am very frustrated and disappointed with the service I received from this shop. Before I carefully disassembled my BMW E92 335i N54 engine to upgrade the turbos, the ECU was communicating properly with the engine!!! now its not. I trusted this shop to reinstall everything, but it has taken them a month and a half to do the work, and the car still isn’t driving like it should. It’s stuck in limp mode, with no turbo boost, sluggish performance, and a strong burnt toast smell coming from the engine bay. To make matters worse, they used water instead of antifreeze in my cooling system. On top of that, there are cables hanging loosely under the car, swaying and at serious risk of getting ripped off while driving. This careless mistake and the ongoing issues show a serious lack of professionalism and attention to detail. I’m taking my car to a more trustworthy technician because i no longer trust this shop i feel ripped off. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services to anyone maybe for a basic service but for a big job like this not at all.
