Just wanted to note that many of these “single star” negative reviews are from many years ago. This practice has worked hard to lift their game and have successfully done so. I have been with them for well over a decade.

Hi All, just want to say thanks. The communication, appointments, everything we need has improved 100% over the past 6 months. Was disappointed when I had waited on the phone for over 30mins previously to make an appt to be chopped off. So great to talk to real people again, quick & efficient & can use Health 365 to book again. Di Martin

I rang the medical center 11th Nov only to be on the phone 30minutes so then hung up... No answer. I then went to Tamatea medical to ask for them to put through my script to Tamatea Pharmacy... 3 days later I went to pharmacy it hadn't gone through... Went back to the medical center receptionist and she hadn't put it through when she had. I got a prescription letter to take back to the pharmacy and they will put through my medications now. I gave you a one star but you don't even deserve that.

If I could give them no stars I would. They do not care about patient welfare. Interesting that they obviously don’t seem to do anything about the negative reviews. Also interesting that they continue to increase the fees and the service gets worse. You can get a referral from the hospital that you need to see you gp that day (they have emergency appointments for these reasons) and the gp, Hamish Liggins says to the nurse when told about the situation, no I must come back on the 12th of November as he is going on holiday. If you don’t care about people’s welfare why become a doctor? I do not recommend this place at all.

Terrible service for last 2 years or so. You ask for a call back and lucky if you get call that day. My husband hd a heart attack in Dec. Didn't even try ringing as knew no reply. Went to Wellesly Rd. This practice is shocking.

Can never get hold off anyone. When you do you are put on hold or it cuts you off to say knowone is available. Very hard to make appointments. Not like it used to be. Not a family practice anymore

Positive experience with one of the nurses, but none of the others. David rarely available and Hamish appears overwhelmed by anything and everything. Now in the process of considering the formal complaint process instead. That is if Practice Manager, Wayne, can be bothered responding. Stephanie (junior receptionist?) should carry a plant with her at all times to replace the oxygen she wastes.

Rang up three weeks ago (half an hour wait on the phone just to get through) for a medical procedure. Walked in and said my name and reason for the appointment, just to be told that there was no appointment and I had made a mistake. I organised this appointment for this day as it is the only week day I could take off for a long while. Very disappointed in the service and how I was treated. The nurse told me it wasn’t urgent and spoke down to me. It’s not urgent but that’s not the point. Not the first time I have been let down by the reception staff making mistakes.

I have been on the phone all morning trying to get through to a receptionist. All I need is a repeat script.Start at position 4 in the que, 20 minutes later get to position 1 then a message comes on .Your call is important to us Blah blah blah Please hang up and call again in ten minutes. and still the same rubbish. This medical practice has gone backwards since the new ownership. I have been a patient ever since this practice started but seriously thinking of changing. Thank you Tamatea Medical Centre for reading my review and calling to see if I had managed to get through which I hadn't . I called back on the number they called from which was different to the normal number and got straight through. Script sorted but that dose not help all the people who have been trying all day. Very frustrating
