I love attending Nino's Yin Yoga classes at Yippie Yopi. We work on a specific area each week, and I leave feeling refreshed and relaxed, and just blissful. I highly recommend her classes!
Staff are always welcoming and caring. From your first visit, your name is remembered and staff genuinely look happy to see you each day you manage to make practice. The website has a comprehensive section on what to expect and etiquette in the hot room for those who like to 'do their homework' beforehand. Look out for individual challenges and sessions by visiting teachers which complement the strong base of local talent.
I was quite nervous about HOT yoga. I have tried yoga a couple of times and have trouble with dizziness and my head going black, also really humid days I can find difficult to cope with. So I was worried the heat would exacerbate this issue. I didn't feel like that yesterday. I went well hydrated, the tutor was clear and confident, the flow was great, there was a great vibe among the clients and a lot of respect and acceptance for different levels and I felt comfortable to just work at my own pace. From the time Renee met me at the door I felt a sense of belonging and that I was more than a number. I loved it.
If there is another studio, I would definitely choose it over this one. Such a shame as I am sure this studio use to be magic. My month experience was - newer teachers are actually the better as they demonstrate some semblance of hatha principles unlike the more seasoned and controlling teachers. Renee was my favourite as she actually came from her heart space and could hold her centre. Thankyou. The script they use is the old bikram one, so it does not have the many corrections the advanced teachers offer. This studio does have 90min 26/2 -two at 9am and two at evening (which means your travelling home late at night if coming from outer area). Hastings is much cheaper and more 26/2 hot yoga classes offered. Plus a gentle and honouring vibe compared to Napier. Shame, no visitors option like the small hot yoga studio visited in Kapiti. The kapiti studio had a lovely vibe too. Be aware this is a pricey studio, hot yoga.
First experience with hot yoga and can see myself getting addicted. Great value to try classes with the introduction offer. Michelle has been fantastic and really put me at ease when I was feeling nervous about my first class. Highly recommend and will definitely be something I factor into my self care from now on

Love hot yoga at Yippie Yoga . Absolutely worth it on so many levels. Best nights sleep I have after my Friday night class.
Love my hot yoga sessions here particularly at this time of the year when itβs a bit cooler outside. Nice relaxed environment, great teachers and your body thanks you for it after.
Just had my fifth session of 60 minutes of Bikram yoga - always love coming here when I'm in the Hawkes Bay and tell my friends who are visiting to be sure to book a session here too when they can. Always feel reborn after a session and love the sense of community too! The lead instructor Meg is amazing and keeps you on track whether you're on form on the day or not - 10/10!
This was first hot yoga class and it was amazing. They were helpful at every step. Δ±t costs 12 nzd by taxi to go there. Intro offer is 65 nzd including a mat and a bottle (or 30 without).
