Amazing food at Hygge, paired with a lovely shop to browse and stunning ocean views. The outdoor area is perfect for dining on a sunny day, relaxed and inviting. Great vibes, friendly service, and a place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. A real gem. Perfect stop for brunch, coffee, or a leisurely coastal lunch.
The food and atmosphere were excellent, but there is definitely room for improvement in the quality of service. Also the turmeric tea I ordered looked like it had been reused, and the waitress spilled it while serving looking very messy..
We've been coming to the Bay for many years and have always been told to head out to Hygge for a meal but never seemed to find the time to. Until recently when we stayed long enough to be free for Sunday brunch and nowhere to be for some time. So we took the drive out to Clifton Beach. Ok, its a wee ways out of the way. BUT the team and the food and the atmosphere and the views all make it well work the trip. The staff were great. No one rushed us. Nor hovered over us. But they seemed to be there should we have needed them. And being a brisk morning, it was great to sit down near the open fire and soak up the warmth. Wifey had eggs on toast with extras while I had the Full Hygge and we shared a bowl of Mexican beans. As I was driving, I didn't have the glass of bubbles with my breakfast but went with a yummy smoothie instead. Now we know what we've been missing, we know where to go next time we're in the Bay and hungry. Thanks Team
Beautiful seaside cafe and restaurant, serene and cosy. We brought out dog, sat outside and it was very nice. Tasty food, generous portions. There's a lot of character inside the restaurant too. Highly recommended.
Wonderful food and atmosphere will be back again. Service was also lovely .
The second time l went there, as the first was so wonderful. I drove out there for morning tea, bms. The guy on the desk and serving was rude and grumpy. I felt really uneasy and was so taken back that l was treated this was. I was so angry how unrespected l felt. If u hate your job, then leave, and if you have an issue, then call in sick. I did not need to feel this way. And if you are the owner, shame on you, imagine how your co workers feel!.
Fast Service, even tho we did not have q booking they still accommodate us. bolognese pasta taste good but the noodles a bit dry. fried chicken is crunchy but need a bit of a salt. ambiance is amazing. suggest everyone to book ahead of time to get the best view. we will be back for sure :)
