   **Disastrous Experience with Burlington Luxury Apartments – Avoid at All Costs** My stay at Burlington Luxury Apartments in Dunedin was by far the worst accommodation experience I’ve had while traveling. Despite paying a substantial, non-refundable fee for a three-night stay, the host, Tess Mclauchlan, provided **zero communication** regarding check-in instructions—even after multiple attempts to contact her via the booking platform and phone calls. With no response, we were left stranded on a freezing winter night in Dunedin, unsure if we’d even have a place to stay. This level of negligence is unacceptable for anyone operating in the hospitality industry. A host who ignores guests, especially in such critical situations, shows a complete lack of responsibility and professionalism. Not only does this reflect poorly on the host, but it also damages Dunedin’s reputation as a tourist destination. No booking platform should partner with someone so unreliable, as it puts travelers at unnecessary risk. Thankfully, we managed to secure last-minute alternative accommodation—otherwise, we would have been left out in the cold; also thanks to Agoda who understood this situation and agreed for refund . I strongly advise against booking with Burlington Luxury Apartments or any property managed by this host. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. I would have rated zero if possible

   This is by far the nicest apartment in Dunedin. Absolutely beautiful apartment in the best location and it is huge with high quality fittings and decor. You will not regret booking this! Thanks for a wonderful stay and the fabulous communication we will be back for sure.

   This is a wonderful apartment, in the very centre of Dunedin - which worried us a little, thinking it may be noisy; but it wasn't - it was so quiet, and calm, just perfect. It was cold in Dunedin, but the apartment has excellent heating, terrific insulation for both heat and sound. Everything about it - the furniture, the kitchen appliances, the bathroom fittings - everything is of the best quality. Tess, the host liaison, was really helpful and professional to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble for her, which made our stay that much easier. We look forward to staying at The Burlington again when next in the Deep South. Kim and Jim
