It's a steep street, not too much else to say. You cant drive up it. Its a slog to walk, but can be good for photos. Go early, tour buses start showing up and gets crowded fast!

Good for a short stopover and stretching after long drive. There is a water point at the top after you climb the street. Can choose to walk at the side (stairs) if you do not want to walk the slope.

Was a quick stop with the kids to burn some of their entry which worked well. They ran to the top while I trailed behind but was a great stop. It’s pretty steep!!! So steep!!! Made it to the top and took in the surroundings before coming down again. Was funny trying to just stay still!! Had to have a big lean on your body to do so. Not sure if the locals get annoyed with people coming and going but we parked out of the way down at the bottom. Worth the stop!

We stayed one night on the world’s steepest street, and it was quite an experience. The street is really steepβ€”so steep that we couldn’t even stand still on it! Driving up to drop off our luggage was a bit of a challenge, but it made the stay even more memorable. Definitely something special to see.

I visited Baldwin Street on last Friday 11 August 2023. This is the famous street in Dunedin. You can take the photo before you go up or you can also take the photo from up of the street with amazing view. Anyway this street also use for public, so you need to pay attention maybe some of car will pass your way. But they have a foot path beside. Guinness World RecordsΒ calls it the steepest street in the world, meaning no street gains more altitude in 10 horizontal metres, measured along the street's centreline.. Must visit place when you visit Dunedin.

Well it's a very steep street, hard to get pictures as cameras can't do it justice, definitely dosen't feel steep after walking up the hills / montains of new Zealand but the houses look pretty cool. Would recommend if your driving past.

Well. Impressive. It is really steep, what can I say. You can park just below the street. Take a short walk up (5-10 minutes) and admire the view. People taking shots. Cars occasionaly go up and down.

Leave your level and your idea of how steep something can be. Just imagine a road similar to the one in inception that curves up around then double it. Very steep and at an unimaginable angle. Legend has it if walk the entire thing you will be blessed with goat like features, narrower eyes, stumpier feet and little bumps on your head.

Absolutely steep! Great place for the tourist photo shot. Saw a local walking up ( can be done by those with a strong heart) which made my heart pound.
