Cute cafe with wifi. I had their eggs on toast which were good, only note is that the ratio bread - egg is a bit off to me. Not enough eggs to my liking for $16. A bit rough to be stingy on eggs at that price. The staff was also not the most welcoming nor smiling.

Nice spacious yet cozy eatery. Just perfect for breakfast. Coffee was somewhat too bitter for me, though the food we ordered was great. The broccoli salad was chockful of goodness, the smoked salmon was luscious, and the seafood chowder was filled with big chunks of delicious sea treasures. Absolutely marvellous.

Nice atmosphere inside. Great coffee - quick too. Lovely artwork and decoration hanging up.

Warm welcoming café with absolutely delicious food We had chilli mince on ciabatta toast (could of had a bit more chilli) but it was great. 5 stars we would definitely come again

It was a rainy April morning, and Dunedin was wrapped in one of its signature mists. A perfect day to seek comfort and breakfast at The Percs turned out to be just that. The place offers a cozy, welcoming vibe, ideal for easing into the day. I went with “The One”—a hearty plate featuring toasted ciabatta, hashbrowns, grilled tomatoes, and a perfectly poached egg, topped with a tangy barbecue sauce. Simple, satisfying, and well put together. The menu has plenty of other tempting options too: a delightful frittata, various styles of toast served with eggs or bacon, rich chowder soups, and a selection of freshly baked pastries. And of course—the coffee. A real highlight. The Percs serves a thoughtful selection of beans, with brews that are both flavorful and smooth. Whether you’re into a bold espresso or something more mellow, the quality shines through. Overall, it’s an easy 5 out of 5. The food is genuinely enjoyable—especially the frittata and chowder. The coffee adds that extra touch. Service is warm and attentive, and the ambiance fits perfectly with a misty Dunedin morning. Visitors will likely enjoy the atmosphere just as much as the breakfast.

Pleasantly surprised by this wonderful Cafe. We’re visiting from California and Percy’s vibe is of a locals cafe: where locals gather to catch up with mouth watering breakfast, baked goods and latte. We ordered the All and the spinach mushroom Benedict - both were so tasty that nothing was left on the plate. Their gluten free peanut butter cookie and banana bread was out of this world! Don’t forget to order at the cash register, they’re very busy.

Chilled but busy cafe in Dunedin CBD. Good value for money on food, coffee was good, open on Sunday since early morning. Food was delivered fast and hot, staff was friendly and helpful. We have The One, a stack of Hashbrowns, Roasted Tomato and ciabatta bread + 1 Poached egg Covered with Bacon and Hollandaise $24. The Halloumi Breakfast, a toasted ciabatta, with sauteed mushrooms + greens and pan fried Halloumi. I would love 2 eggs breakkie but, you can have good sides.

Great spot for a lunch, good choice, lovely staff, family friendly. Our coffees were slightly overworked, too much frothing & not enough heating, a rookie mistake where you get lukewarm coffee with too many bubbles, but hey nothing major, will come back anyway!

Average food & ok coffee. The staff behind the counter was friendly. A waiter who brought the hot cooked meal asked if we were waiting on anything else, to which we replied YES, but left without a follow up question and we thought she was going in to check. We waited for a while. After asking another waiter to check for the smoked salmon & cream cheese on bagel, it was brought out 15 minutes later but on a cold toasted bagel.
