I come in to Minton Booklovers every year when I visit Hawkes Bay from Blenheim. This bookshop is honestly the best secondhand bookshop I have ever been into. His shop is nice, tidy and easy to move around. The selection of books is amazing and the quality of second hand books is mostly great. He is very friendly and helpful with a very good knowledge of the books he sells. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for second hand books.
Oh my word! The best book store I’ve been to for ages. Some great finds, fairly priced. And very patient, friendly service. I’ve just got to hope they all fit in my suitcase now…
The books may be second-hand (well, most of them anyway), but there is nothing used looking about the shop. A clean, neatly laid-out interior, with many books to choose from, organised into various topics. I made a point of visiting this shop during my brief visit to Napier. The man who was working there (the owner, I believe) kindly offered assistance moments after I walked in. He directed me to the military history section. I selected three books, including one that dealt with the actions of New Zealand's armed forces in the Pacific theatre during the Second World War, a subject that I had read very little about. Three interesting books in good condition, for around 37 NZ dollars.
Very Interesting, knowledgeable guy running the place. He has a great story too! Fair prices and great selection of books. The sort of bookshop you will always return to. Really happy to find it.

Excellent secondhand book shop. Friendly guy who runs it and will explain the filing system. Could spend hours in here picking up good books.
