The chips are nice and crunchy. The crumbed gurnard was delicious and I even got a bit extra. Nice crunchy crumb not soggy. Hoki always falls to bits in batter so I dont like hoki. Hot dog is usually okay but sometimes it's a bit soggy. Overall I'm very happy. Very friendly and free lemons in season.
I’ve been to buy takeaways twice in the past two months and will not be trying them again third chance - their highly greasy, oily fish n chips have made me ill within a few hrs of eating, both times!
Scoop of chips 10/10 Just how they should be. No crinkle cut rubbish like some, just straight cut and cooked perfectly. Best chip contender in this town. Crumbed and battered fish 7.5/10 Jusr portion size, would match chip score if fillets were bigger. Still, it was bloody nice and cooked well. Scallops 9/10 Decent size, beautiful batter. Will get again. Just pick up and go, not a place to sit and eat comfortably.

Another great experience. Was accommodating and pleasant when I had questions about what's in a certain burger. Great food, and I love the crunch of the chips. Just how I like them. Will go back again for sure
My 7 year old loves this place and doesn't want to go anywhere else for his kai on a Thursday so I reluctantly oblige. I paid $18.50 for two pieces of fish and two scoops of fish this evening and this is what it looked like before we touched it. I feel like we got two half pieces of fish and it is all drenched in fat.
Chips were nice.. cheese burger was disgusting. Cheese pattie and maybe.. spinach leaves.. no mayo.. for the price you should expect abit more.
I use to live in Napier but now live in Auckland. Everytime I come back I always stop in here. Hands down no one in Auckland make fish and chips like these guys... even when u eat the chips the next day and they're cold they still taste yum. I highly recommend the all sauces chips.
