Portion sizes good. Delivered hot. Wouldn't recommend the wantons, they have literally a sliver of meat. Like a fingernail size, bit of a joke really. Other meals were good
Went here first time tonight, we have our usual Thai place but decided to try somewhere different. The mains, crispy duck, pad thai (chicken ) and fried rice (beef) were absolutely fabulous. Portion bigger and taster than our usual. Satay chicken and spring rolls were underwhelming in size but were good. Great local Thai, we will be back.
We tried Mee Dee Thai for the first time tonight and wow! The food was absolutely delicious and beats other local Thai food we've had hands down. The service was so friendly and welcoming as well. We'll definitely be heading back there.
Has to be the best Thai meal I've had in NZ. I ordered the crispy duck with garlic sauce. The vegetables we're so fresh and cooked like Thai should be. Thanks so much.
I ordered crispy duck and the meat just melted in our mouths. The duck came with fresh veges and rice. There was a choice of 2 sauces, I chose the garlic sauce which the owners put in a separate container for us so the duck wouldn't get soggy. The owners were very welcoming and polite, they even wrapped the container in tinfoil so it wouldn't get cold. Mee Dee is definitely a go to place for Thai food, hospitality and quality service.

Pad Thai prawns was easily 10/10. And I’ve had a lot of pad Thai in my life. Packed with flavour and generous serving. Pad see ew combination was 8.5/10. The meat didn’t have a lot of flavour but the sauce and noodles were elite. One of the best chewy noodles I’ve had. And again, very generous serving. Definitely would come back here, especially for how affordable it is!
