Got the honey chicken and was absolutely disgusting. Had 2 mouth fulls and was just disappointed. Had such a weird taste . Every other noodle canteen store I’ve been too has been delicious but this was just terrible.Spent $26 on one meal too . Definitely won’t be back
$63 later… I could make better at home Sweet and sour pork terrible! Soup had no flavour what so ever! And the noodles were just as bad Idk what happened but I won’t be back
Sweet n sour pork highly disappointed. Battered pork fat 80% & 20% battered over cooked hard meat didn’t even taste like pork or looked like the display picture. Worst sweet n sour I have ever had!! Tom yum not how I have seen it any where else. Soup was muddy looking & have never tasted a Tom yum like it. Never going there again. Expectation high always disappointed. Over it!!
Absolutely awful experience. Ordered off Uber eats. Got the sweet & sour pork with rice which was not bad. But then I also ordered the steamed dumplings. All of them were raw besides 2. One of which I ate. The next one I ate half of, was raw and realised something didn’t taste right and then I looked at the meat inside. I opened up all the other ones and they were all raw besides for one other one.
LOVE THIS PLACE. My favorite is the Hoki An Mee noodles. They are salty, tangy and spicy, with juicy prawns, beef and other meat. The broccoli and carrot, and onions also soak up the sauce, so when eating it melts in your mouth. They give very good veggie to noodle and meat ratio. My other favorites are their, prawn crackers, honey chicken (the chicken has a lovely rich honey coating which makes it taste like donuts) Nasi Goreng, a savory rice ( that is somewhat dry but very tasty) and Egg foo young which is savory egg dish, it comes with vegetables and meat in the egg mixture which makes a nice thick omelet. The staff are very welcoming, and always say hello with a big smile on their face. They always pack their dishes too the brim. My only negative thing I have to say is that the prices of the meals have come up to around $14.50 or more. This is expected though because of inflation. The other thing I tried was their dumplings. The soy sauce was rich and sweet, it seemed as though some honey was added. So good! The dumplings were crispy on the bottom and juicy when you bite through. Love this place! Been coming here for years, will never stop :)
The photos in your menu dont match the meal your actually given. Why have broccoli and vegetables in the photo if they don't come in the meal.
Shocking service..tonight... each time I go in...in the past 3 months I ask for the same thing and I don't get what I ask for.... I tried to call when I relised but no answer.... many times... I have been going to only store for 3 years and recently it had been bad service....waited for over half an hour and the girl didn't take my order correctly after I repeated myself three times.... Not good
On Holiday at Taradale we have eaten Noodle Canteen all over NZ and this is the worst we have ever had. Rice hard like porcelain. Batter on chicken like soggy wet sugar type substance. We took the meals back and the manager / owner refused to admit fault of the food when three of us were disgusted in the meals. We ended up leaving it on his counter telling him we wouldn't feed it to the dogs. By reading all the reviews I wish we had read them first. Please do not eat here. arghhhhhh
The food is nice, but not good enough not been able to have it in a plastic bowl. My husband always buys for me and brings to me at work. I cant eat it out of polyestyrene. Plus to messy. Unless u bring back the plastic bowls I will no longer be buying from you.
