Visited Sweet Soul Patisserie in Christchurch over New Year’s, and it was an absolute treat! I tried the lemon tart and a chai tea latte, and both were delightful β€” the tart was perfectly tangy and sweet, and the chai latte had just the right balance of spices. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the cafe had a cozy, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to linger. It’s clear they put love and care into every item they bake.

This place is to die for! Presentation through to service etc you can't fault. Coffee and tea to boot. You could be excused for thinking you're in the heart of Europe looking outside people watching as the Tram glides past.

We visited this place on our last day in Christchurch with my friend who has a shop inside Riverside Market. Sweet Soul Patisserie is a lovely spot in Christchurch for anyone who loves desserts. The cafΓ© has a cozy, Parisian-style vibe, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Their desserts are beautiful and delicious – from creamy mousses to seasonal treats, there’s something for everyone. The hot chocolate is amazing, and they also offer coffe. Whether you’re visiting for a special treat or just a sweet snack, Sweet Soul is a must-visit!

Great presentation but average taste. Having Spiced Caramel Apple is the most worst experience ever had. With a sticky mirror glaze, the dessert sticks to the serviette underneath after cutting, and then creat a big mess on the plate. Pity the flavour is actually not too bad. While coffees are alright, the iced chocolate is a let-down. It’s served in a normal drinking water glass with a couple of ice cubes floating in chocolate. Chocolate may taste good but the drink is lack of decoration/dressing given its price. It looks cheap.

Their cakes look so beautiful. I don't even wanna eat them! That being said, it's really delicious too. It's slightly pricey, but hey, it's worth it, just for the aesthetics alone.

I had no idea what to expect at a patisserie, apart from it's a really fun word to say with a strong French accent. Man, their delights are works of art, you kind of don't want to cut into them. But once you've destroyed their creations and shoved them in your gob, the flavours will blow your mind. The coffee was good, service friendly and place lovely. Well worth a visit!

Amazing coffee and stunning cabinet treats, an awesome little patisserie to wile away an hour or two while people watching! The lemon tart and the chocolate lover were devine, the staff are friendly and the decor is cute. 10/10 would visit again.
