Great service, excellent food and very clean and tidy. Excellent take-away menu and great range of beverages. You gotta try them!
I was sceptical about this place after reading the reviews, but decided to give it a try myself. Unfortunately, the reviews were spot on. The portion size was far too small for the price, the bread wasn’t nice, and instead of a fresh salad they used coleslaw, which really took away from the flavour. The sauce options were very limited as well. Overall, it was definitely the worst souvlaki I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
Ordered open chicken, salad and rice meal. Delicious and plenty for 2 people to share, friendly service (= Some people may not like radish and celery in their salad but I loved it, very fresh.
Wouldn't not recommend going here❗️ Old/dated pricing still on display at counter..? The lamb used in the Souvlaki was definitely not fresh. The person running the shop also has a bad attitude. I definitely will not be coming back.
Unfortunately i won't be going back here, the owner needs to turn up his hearing aid up as had to repeat ourselves multiple times, small chicken souvlaki was tiny and was $10 had lots of celery and i asked for sweet chilli and got hot chilli. Partner got the double chicken with no chilli and the coleslaw in it tasted off so went in the bin. Asked for a chocolate shake and paid extra for icecream but on drinking it had no icecream it tasted off as well not chocolate tasting at all and off to the bin it went. Nice elderly owner but needs to retire.
I had hopes for this place from the positive reviews, but I was horribly disappointed. Dry, thin wrap that was the kind you can buy at a supermarket. Ordered the double, but it was tiny. Salad was full of celery and radish. Chicken was under flavoured. Only had a few bites and tossed the rest.
Sauvlaki is my favourite, hands down! This wee takeaway is a wonderful gem of a place to get your sauvlaki, freshest I've ever had and everything is made from love, including the bread which he makes himself! The meat is seasoned by the owner and is unique and delicious! The owner is so friendly and is a real pleasure to chat with! Ignore any bad reviews, it's worth coming here to see for yourself!
Best Falafel Souvlaki ever . So fresh. Very tasty . Great choice of meals. Great for diabetics too! Would have it every night it's so yum! Owner very friendly! Excellent! Close to SH 74.
Delicious freshly made soulaki with really pleasant kind customer service. Made the salads fresh for me as I can't eat onions. I rate this place and will be back to eat here when I am in Christchurch.
