We are new to Te Aroha health. We saw someone for our daughter who had ear pain, they said nothing was wrong- 4 days later her hear is now leaking. Go back to triage (saw the same doctor) whom we do not recommend. She prescribed x2 prescriptions. Went to the pharmacy- they tell me to wait because both prescriptions dosages are wrong. 1hr later Iβm still in town waiting for my prescriptions to be sent through. The pharmacy asks me to call the practice because they donβt have any luck. So I call but they canβt help either because I have to wait for the doc to send it through. - now Iβm waiting and waiting for someone to βhopefullyβ help me because they are busy- I ask to speak to management but they donβt even know if they will be there. Iβm so disappointed that errors canβt be resolved and the patient is left to wait without word. Iβm told I could wait 2 mr hrs in town.

The lovely staff at Health Te Aroha really do care about their patients. It's not easy to get an appointment these days with staff shortages and lots of people being sick, however twice now in as many weeks I have been really looked after by everyone at Health Te Aroha. Thank you guys, and a special mention to Nurse Natalie and Dr's Eade and Scott plus the lovey Megan on reception for her help and advice.

They donβt seem to be able to use common sense when someone needs help, someone who hasnβt filled in the enrolment form yet (but is willing to enrol). Person is in discomfort βbut we canβt help her if she hasnβt started the enrolment yetβ. But sheβs in discomfort! How about making it about people, not paperwork!

yea a pretty good place, fell off my bike and got grazed pretty bad, got taken here and they patched me up, but had to wait 2 hours while i bled in my school clothes.

Our family are well looked after at the practice and have been for almost 5 years. The doctors donβt rush you in and out even though appointments are only 15 mins long. They also have emergency appointments to squeeze us in when needed and have been easy to access for COVID testing.

Make an appointment turn up 5 mins before appointment and half an hour later get told sorry u will have to wait longer or we will have to put u with a dif doctor y wasn't that done half hour before

Pretty unprofessional. Messed up my appointment today, and refused to see our 6 year old in the past when he was sick even though we were going to register with their practice. Told us it would take 5 weeks to transfer his records even though our old doctors could have sent the records same day. Told us to just drive him to Hamilton. Didn't bother checking if he had any serious symptoms. In our old practice they would fit in sick kids and anyone who was badly ill. Will be looking for a good doctor's practice, don't think I trust my families health here! I have complained to this service and they have apologized and are undertaking an investigation. Apparently all calls to this practice are rerouted to a call centre in Hamilton then the practice gets back to you. Not great. We have reregistered with our old doctor. Our old medical practice is awesome and nobody deserves an unprofessional practice!
