   Been looking to eating some Xiao Long Bao/soup dumplings for a while and saw the name of this place come up a few times so thought we'd give it a try as we didn't want to drive out to Riccarton to the other places we've been recommended. That was a mistake. The soup dumplings casements were rubbery and and the meat and soup inside fairly tasteless. The other dim sum we ordered were equally as bland and rubbery in texture. The deep fried wontons had a flavoursome sauce and the meat was nice but the overall effect lacked the finesse of a really good quality offering. The individual who welcomed us was clearly trying their best, & was mindful of our young son which was appreciated. However their approach was awkward and could not be described as warm/charismatic. Nice part of town and reasonable surroundings. Sadly an example of all front, and not a lot of quality to back it up. Always happy to pay for quality. Sadly on this occasion it was an expensive experience of a very substandard product/experience. Very disappointed, we won't be giving it a go again and would not recommend.

   Hands down the best asian dumplings I have had in a while...Not just dumplings, the cucumber salad was my favorite. It was so good that I had to ask for recipe and they actually told me how to make it. The special prawn bao was good I am not a huge bao person but I am glad I ordered it, may have to change my thoughts on bao.. Service was good.. the food was flavorful, just enough spices , presented well, and you could taste the passion with which it was made... I absolutely loved the food and ambiance.... Please visit this gem...

   I wish I’d read the recent reviews. The food was super disappointing-if I could give it zero stars I would. We ordered the duck bao buns, pork and coriander dumplings and xiao long bao. The xiao long bao were too big and lacked any flavour. The duck bao buns had two small pieces of duck and the skin was chewy The pork dumplings had a weird texture and also no flavour. Cost us $60 too…Avoid this place!

   PLEASE DONT COME!!! THIS IS NOT DUMPLING!! 1. The dumplings are obviously not fresh, i guess it is just reheated a bit (not hot at all) 2. The Xiao Lung Bao are terrible, i feel like eating flour, the soup tastes weird and unflavoured 3. The fried wanton is the best dish among all, but not worth to come :) As I sat near the kitchen, and I heard cantonese from the kitchen staff, feeling shamed of being a hongkonger :> the food taste so bad and definitely humiliated the word of "dumpling".

   Love this place!! Best dumplings in Christchurch I reckon. Beef root is my personal favorite. And their sides of greens and cuc salad are delicious also. Highly recommend.

   Everything was delicious!! Favourite menu item was the Fried Chicken Bao Bun. The sriracha Mayo kind of sauce in it pulled everything together, chicken was cooked perfectly ☺️

   Great casual dumpling place for best dumplings experience in the city. Been coming here for past few years and it never disappoints. Tofu salad and Tofu Bao are delicious too !

   Always love this place. The bao are especially delicious. Favourite dumplings have got to be the beef and beetroot ones, so good! Service is good and food comes out pretty quickly and piping hot.

   Awesome food.. loved the prawn crystal dim sums..they were made to perfection. Dumplings and Baos were yummy. Could taste every ingredient. Nice ambiance too!
