The kitchen at Kai Connoisseurs takes a burger‑led path and lets the food speak. Value feels fair for the quality. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Stir‑fries keep good heat and snap. Buns hold well and patties come juicy.
Finally got to visit for the first time today. I ordered the Seafood Chowder and it also came with fry bread. Ive tasted so many seafood chowders around NZ and this was amazing. Atmosphere is amazing .Staff are so friendly n polite .will def go back again on my day off.
Wish I’d taken photos to share. This place is a hidden gem. The food is incredible and what’s more, the price is so reasonable! Every time I go the place is filled with people and the staff and customers are so friendly. They have vegan options and lots of tasty dishes for all cravings. I noticed they have really thought about comforts/convenience too, sanitary items (and I think I saw nappies?) for emergencies in the very clean bathrooms. Me and my child love going here and always feel welcome and leave feeling full and happy.
I ordered 3 x crispy chicken bao buns via Doordash as I'm home sick. They were AMAZING! Looked just like the picture, amazingly tasty and reasonably priced for a flavour sensation. I rang the ladies to say thank you and let them know how good they were and they really appreciated it. I will definitely be trying more of thier food in the very near future
