I sent someone in to order 2 scoops of chips and asked for 3 pkts cos we were driving. We got 3 burger bags 1/3 full of chips, I went back to ask why did we only get 1 scoop divided into 3. Had to call them out for ripping us off. They redid our order. Check your order before leaving.
Im the same as last review. Highly dissatisfied with snapper. Over cooked. Premade fillets. Chips were greasy and oil was yuck. Asked for garlic salt. No salt. Terrible english speakers.. will not be going back. Id recommend selling the shop to someone who knows how to make good fish n chips. Overall
The food has improved to what it was a few months ago, but the chips could be crisper and the meat patties are just rehashed old chips with no meat or seasoning at all. The whole shop decor is dated, dingy and most unhygienic looking. Retile the floor!!!
Nice efficient service as per most fish n chip shops. Decent portion of chips per scoop and large pieces of fish as well as good sized hot dogs. Thick batter & fish was a bit over cooked but very crispy batter. Cost of a scoop & individual fish were $4.40 each so it’s getting pretty expensive to have this once cheap takeaway option! Christchurch is marginally cheaper for fish n chips but I did see $5 a fish in Amberley!
If you like blue cod do not waste your money here go to Montys up the road. Noddys cost nearly $23 for 2 batterd cod 3/4 batter and the rest thin cut cod.
A really nice size piece of fish. One piece gave me two decent size butties. Worth the $4.40.
The only place I go for gluten free fish...fat and yummy.Orders are always on time and delicious.Nice people.
Blue Cod a complete rip off, we paid over $10 for a piece of blue cod expecting a decent size, instead it was a double battered extremely thin piece of fish that couldn’t even be tasted it was that thin. Never again!!
Absolutely over the moon we have found a new decide fish n chip shop. Been twice now and extremely satisfied with the food. New to the area so will definitely be promoting to other new locals. Thanks team keep up the great work & service
