We spent two nights at the Salisbury Hotel, and it was a wonderful conclusion to our fantastic trip to New Zealand. The room was a good size and well equipped. Christchurch’s city center can be reached on foot within 15 minutes. What stood out most was the hospitality of Silvia, who truly is the heart and soul of the hotel. Many thanks once again for your uncomplicated and helpful support and nice conversations throughout our entire stay. We felt very comfortable and welcome, and that was also thanks to her. :-) Kind regards
This hotel is so new and the location is good it's like a 15-minute walk to the Riverside market and the staff were very nice and welcoming.
This attractive small hotel is nicely located on Madras Street within an easy walk of the Avon and the northern city centre. Our room was quite small but clean and well equipped apart from a fridge. Instead there was a wine cooler, no good for travellers needing to freeze chilly bags. No doubt the hotel could have frozen them if necessary.
Lovely service however rooms do not match description. Beds are very uncomfortable and decor is ‘eclectic’ and outdated. Location is okay. This hotel is a new build made to look historic however looks a bit tacky
Only 4 stars as the rock hard bed was not pleasant. The room and quiet were great. Will not stay again though as a good sleep is most important.
Very nice hotel/motel. Staff were friendly and rooms specious and clean. No breakfast but rooms have kitchenate with microwave if this is any help.
The best hotel, great location, such great customer service. New and luxurious hotel. Stay there many times, will return again. High quality, free car park in city center , what's your complait for . Other hotels charged to $25-$30 per night. It is free parking.
The hotel is great and definitely beyond my expectation. I was traveling with my wife and 1 infant. The hotel is simple yet fancy and has every single basic facilities we need. The room is convenient and modern. Thumbs up for the customer service!!!! Note that, the hotel is very easy to reach and has its own free parking space.
We booked a court yard view room and we had a room next to laundry and our view was a walk by the driveway. Also the description of the room says seating area and dining area, it’s actually just 2 chairs and a small table, no other seating area. We were using chairs as storage place as there is no draws no place where to put stuff, clothes. Showers had 1 hook for towels and there were wet, good that we had our room cleaned and changed towels next day. The place looks lovely, lots of lovely little gates and doors to get to the hotel but you could just use the one way through the carpark, not so flash. In our room our fire alarm was still in a red plastic cover-not set properly. I did complain to the receptionist after our first night, we booked this place through booking.com and when we got back it said the booking was canceled and we couldn’t give a review.
