Was bitterly disappointed last night,ordered a roast,got a few bits of chicken, potatoes(not roasted well),green beans and some purple bean like things(so stringy you couldn't even cut them),and heaps of gravy,no pumpkin, kumara or carrots,a total rip of for $24 dollars,prices all gone up and quality out the window,pick up your game guys

Brought 2 families in Saturday evening about 630. Unfortunately the club was pretty quite. Carvey wasn't up to it's good old standards, cold meat, cold old vegies. It's a real shame clubs haven't been able to grasp the new generation as the facilities are good. Look at the Papanui has achieved
We parked up for the night and enjoyed a couple of drinks and a meal. Thank you so much for the use if your facility as a NZMCA member and non local. Alot of clubs countrywide could benefit from your ideas.
Me and a Flatmate went down to the club for a jug or 2 on a wednesday great service at the bar nice people and helpful..Then my flatmate was like i'm going to get some chips,cheese,etc then this Overly priced horrendous looking plate of chip's came.... with 6 overcooked Onion ring's that they charged $1 a pop for which in most kitchen's i've worked or run i'll cost them to 50/60c's per onion ring. Then tomato sause just splat on the plate not even in a ramakin,but they put the gravy in one? Then cheese if you can see it 100g (they said) from a chef's view all i see is (i don't care about my job) care in that dish!!! it's even better it's been in the oven/pizza oven too long.and chucked up. Tip - Nice bowl plate stack chip's nice and high then chucked grated cheese on,then add gravy on top and that'll let the cheese melt naturally and not be baked on to single chip's every time and add a Side ramakin of tomato sause on the side...
Really wonderful venue. Good menu and love that they host wonderful events. Sad that we had to wait almost 10 minutes at the counter while staff talked to another customer casually (not serving them). We were looked at several times but not even an acknowledgement or "be with you in a moment". Customer service needs a bit of a polish. Staff who were over at the other bar (for the event we were there for) in the Woolston club were wonderful. So friendly and funny, with very efficient service. . Would be nice to see that standard at the main bar.
Excellent car parking. Bars, bar snacks and a restaurant Functions and events are done well here with trained bar staff and excellent facilities available. Good for sporting events and sporting interests. TAB attached.
