We were looked after by Alister for the evening who was wonderful. His knowledge of the food, wine and people was outstanding. Great evening and haven’t even got to the food. Best in class hands down. Previous reviews have said best of their trip, and I hate to copy, but it’s true. It’s not about how much you spend or what big city you are in. This restaurant will knock your Sox off for food quality. It’s a must do for sure. I loved the scallops and the lamb. Both outstanding.

A little treasure and a welcome find. Professional communication prior to our visit. Great service without being obtrusive. Food was excellent, creative and well thought out menu. Loved the use of local nasturtiums too. Good wine selection. This was our favourite meal of our whole NZ tour. We wish we could be regulars.

It was a very expensive meal, but it was one of the worst western food experiences I have ever had. We went there because our favourite place was full. The chicken leg had no flavour. It was very boring. The best part of this meal was the bread with butter. The atmosphere was also weird. The whole place was so dark and within a very narrow place, there are tables for 26 people. They must have paid a lot for the good reviews.
