   This is the worst motel I ever stayed in Christchurch. I was wondering why it had a very high score, which was why we chose this motel than the 4 stars hotel in the area. This is more like a 2 stars than 3 stars. The room had a musty smell. The unit key was difficult to use. They did not clean the room on 2nd day so we did not get any service. The kitchen lacked some items. The towels were short and thin and was not replaced. There were missing light bulbs. The place needed some renovation. Also, this was the only motel with vacancy in the area.

   I contacted the motel on November 23rd to inquire about booking a room directly. The receptionist quoted me a price of $250 or more, but I mentioned that a third-party agent was offering the same room for $135. The receptionist insisted on the higher price and stated that if we booked online at the lower rate, we would not be allowed to stay. I found it confusing that the third-party agent was advertising the lower price if the motel was not willing to honor it. When I mentioned that I would book online and arrive late, the receptionist became even more rude, stating that I could not stay at the motel until midnight. I was surprised by the receptionist's unprofessional behavior and her refusal to accommodate a late check-in. It would have been more appropriate for her to handle the situation in a manner similar to other motels that allow for late arrivals. After the conversation, I discovered that the receptionist had changed the price listed on Agoda. Due to this unpleasant experience with the receptionist, I will not be recommending this motel to others. The receptionist could benefit from additional training in customer service or may need to consider a different line of work.

   Stayed at the Admiral Motel in Christchurch and it was perfect! Right in the heart of the city — everything is within easy walking distance. The motel was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as advertised. Loved the dedicated parking and the smooth, no-fuss check-in and check-out. A convenient and comfortable place to stay in Christchurch! Highly recommended!

   I do not recommend this motel. I was in my room around 11:30 morning. and the outside temperature was about 8°C. It felt very cold, so I closed all the curtains and turned on one light. The lighting was quite dim, but it was enough for me to settle in and get into bed. Shortly after, someone knocked on my door. When I opened it, a man told me to turn off the light and open the curtains. I didn’t respond—I turned off the light but chose not to open the curtains, as it would have made the room even colder. His request felt unreasonable and made me uncomfortable. Additionally, the two heaters in the room were not working properly, which made the stay even more unpleasant. Overall, it was not a good experience.

   Myself and two family members came to stay in November for surgery. The dates changed from a few nights, to a week, then to 2 weeks. Rose was incredibly accommodating, she made us feel like we were at home. Rose is an Incredibly beautiful person and me and my family would return there anytime we go back to Christchurch. Rooms are dated, but still nice and very clean, lots of heaters for winter, rooms were very large with full kitchen. Absolutely worth 5stars, lovely owners who genuinely appreciate and go out of their way for their guests

   The motel is in a great location which leaves most of the town within walking distance. The owner was also incredibly kind and offered lots of information about the city and took the time to give me a ride to my flight at the end of my stay. A great place to stay for my time in Christchurch. p.s. Two very friendly cats that will brighten your day.

   Great motel, good location & fantastic helpful and sweet host, Rose. We stayed at Admiral Hotel for 5 days and enjoyed every minute of it. It’s very clean and nice rooms with everything you need; big kitchen with supplies, nice bed and great shower. The hotel is located near city center and only takes 10-15 minutes walk. But the best thing about this hotel is the owner Rose. She is the much loving women, who did everything in her power to let us have the best vacation ever! From we stepped into her motel we felt at home. And even her husband Terry, showed us great hospitality. We can’t thank them enough. All our best recommendations to Admiral Hotel!

   This was a great place to spend a couple of days exploring Christchurch from. Walkable to the centre, but far enough out that you aren't paying the silly central prices! We had a one bed apartment and it was huge! Kitchen had equipment to cook with as well as a fridge and freezer. I had an issue with booking online on my phone, and ended up calling to book. Rose was lovely and booked me in, and then remembered me when I arrived! Such a warm welcome from a woman who just wants to help and make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. She and Terry made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

   The Admiral was a great place to stay. The lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and it was spacious and had a full kitchen. I felt like I had my own little apartment. The location was also nice. It was only a 15-20 minute walk to the Riverside Market downtown. All of this for a great price too. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are spending time in Christchurch.
