Always love staying at the Carnmore. Rooms are spacious and 5 star ready. The staff are super helpful too. The bar area is great for inviting people for a drink. I also love their breakfast menu and even eat breakfast here when I am not staying here. 8- 10 mins walk from the CBD - great location!.
I stayed in Carnmore Hotel Christchurch to visit a friend of mine, everything was amazing, friendly staff from reception, Restaurant team and housekeeping team. Restaurant food had a great breakfast but haven't tried the dinner probably on our next visit. My family had a lovely stayed in Carnmore Hotel and will stay again in the future.
Staying at Carnmore Hotel Christchurch was a remarkably satisfying experience. Friendly and helpful staff and I got my room ready even before the check-in time, which was very accommodating after a long tiring trip. The room size, its amenities and its facilities are what I'm just looking for. With a convenient location to bus stops, including a direct bus access to the airport and to the Bus Interchange. I am very grateful that I found this hotel on Trip.com, and if I ever have the chance to visit Christchurch again, I'll definitely stay here again
Easy check-in, spacious, clean, modern room. Very comfortable bed - just firm enough but with a soft topping. Nice rain shower with pressure head. But when will hotels learn that 2 of those tiny uht milk capsules is not sufficient? A few hotels on my South Island trip have embraced the use of a 300mL glass bottle of milk in the fridge. This is perfect for me (not lactose intolerant) - it's enough and it tastes infinitely better and the glass bottle is recyclable. It was a pleasant easy walk into the centre from here. I'd be happy to stay again.
I recently stayed at the Carnmore Hotel for the weekend. It's in a great location in town - nice and close to the Town Hall, shops, and markets. Well maintained in and out, good bed, shower, and the works. There were two issues worth noting. 1. Their website offers an early check-in. This is misleading; it is a bag storage service, which every hotel I've stayed in offers. I was told that they would call me when a room became available. This didn't happen. 2. The bigger issue is that the room smelled heavily of mold. As soon as you entered the room, the smell was intense. On informing the reception staff, they acted surprised and suggested that I use some air freshener. This second issue is a deal breaker. I wouldn't return.
One of my best nights away from home ever. Quiet !! Nice staff. Comfortable bed. Great view from our fourth floor room. Nice restaurant with a free drink. Pleasing rates. We stayed in Christchurch to attend a concert at the Town Hall which is within easy walking distance. WARNING to out-of-towners: there are many one-way streets in Christchurch ! The hotel is located on the corner of Colombo St and Salisbury St. Salisbury St is one-way. Make sure you get into the correct lane when you come to the corner. Currently (August 2023), the parking on Salisbury St is free. I would happily stay at the Carnmore again. Thanks and best wishes.
I stayed at this lovely and clean hotel in a central location in the city. The service was very friendly, and there is ample parking in the area. It's within a short walking distance from the city's attractions.
Couldn't fault anything with our stay here. Room was lovely, staff were so friendly and attentive. Bar and restaurant was great. Perfect location.
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for one night this past long weekend. We wanted somewhere central to attend a show. Very central to Chch, an easy walk into town. The hotel was immaculately clean, a extra large super comfortable king size bed, great size shower and water pressure. Complimentary toiletries , hairdryer for use. Coffee making facility, handy small fridge, TV etc. Really comfy. Staff were superfriendly on reception. There is limited first come first serve off street parking and plenty of free, onstreet parking. Extractor runs all night which I found a little noisy but I'm a light sleeper. My partner didn't hear it. All in all a fabulous stay in an exceptionally clean value for money, central location and lovely staff. We didn't use the restaurant downstairs but is very handy. Thanks guys, we'll be back.
Excellent hotel. Really good room spec. Very modern decor with top notch bathroom including waterfall shower. Fridge and kettle in room with good range of hot drinks. Large TV with Netflix. Very comfortable bed. A walk from the city centre but chose location as very near to car rentals which suited our visit. Excellent breakfast buffet. Great value overall and very deserving of 5 star review
