Absolutely the best Japanese food in town! A small, cozy spot that outshines many of the fancier Japanese restaurants. The dishes are delicious and made with fresh ingredients, and the chef is always crafting each plate to perfection. Great portions at a fair price. Highly recommended!!!

This is the best restaurant in Christchurch! I came here after hearing great things about their Katsu menu—and it was just as delicious as expected! I was also lucky enough to try their new ramen dish, and it was amazing too. The meat and egg in the ramen were absolutely perfect. The warm broth was just what I needed on a cold winter day. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Lovely owners and fantastic food! All you need for a quick pick me up to take away. You can also have phenomenal meal at their tables! Highly recommend!
A hidden gem worth seeking out! Everything was exceptional. The staff were very friendly. Fast service. Small shop but nice decor and a lovely atmosphere. Lots of tasty looking ready to go sushi on offer. The food we had was amazing. I had the prawn katsu. Prawn was fresh and delicious, fluffy rice, nice salad, and tasty miso. The cordon bleu katsu was sold out for the day (not surprising it's popular it looks phenomenal!) so we'll definitely be back to try it. Highly recommend.
We had the Teriyaki Chicken and Katsu Chicken Bowls with a side of King Prawns. The place was nice, clean and absolutely adorable. We dined in and took in the atmosphere as we ate the tasty food. Both bowls had some nice flavour to them. The teriyaki chicken with its fried up veges was definitely a great combination with the greens and rice. The Katsu chicken had the same with a different sauce but the chicken was so tender and easy to bite through, just melted in the mouth. The King Prawns came with what seemed to be a tartar sauce maybe but either way they complimented each other. There's plenty of parking space. Being near countdown and other stores. Will definitely be stopping by again as I'd love to try their cheese katsu next.

Cheese Cutlet was a bit chewy and tough, but cheese inside was delicious and stretchy. Will visit again to try regular cutlet. °
