Booked and paid for 2 nights for myself. The owner said I was to have no visitors at all!? I just brushed it off, he came to room a couple of times offering me old fruit and a lollipop. The next day MY ADULT SON dropped in around 11am parked on the st, didn't disturb anything or anyone stayed for 20mins max, when he left the owner aggressively knocked on the door, I didn't answer as I was in bathroom, he came back a 2nd time banging even louder trying the door handle, going around to the bedroom window knocking before coming back and unlocking the door letting himself in, he told me I had 5mins to pack and be out otherwise he was ringing the cops, I tried explaining my son was dropping medication off for me, he was irate and didn't care it was pouring down with rain and I didn't have transport. I can understand no visitors at stupid o'clock but his demands and actions were inappropriate, unprofessional, inhuman and just plain creepy. SINGLE/SOLO WOMEN/TRAVELRS AVOID THIS PLACE.

My friend and I had a great stay at Alcala Motor Lodge at one of the last days of 2024. The room and bathroom were incredibly spacious, and having a kitchenette with all the facilities we needed was a huge bonus. The value for money was excellent. A special shoutout to Liu, who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Liu was so welcoming and kind, and we truly enjoyed our pleasant chat. Itβs rare to meet staff who make you feel this cared for, and we were so grateful. Highly recommend staying here!

I just needed a place to sleep as I was spending most of my days with a relative who was in hospital. And this place was great. It's very quiet, The room was large and comfortable. It's more of a small apartment than a hotel room. I'd definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

We werenβt expecting The Hilton by any means. Staff were helpful and provided amenities we needed on request. Rooms were a great size but a bit gross, stained carpet everywhere, mystery substance on the bedside table, and a Roach paid us a visit. Overall pretty much what you expect for the price could do with some more thorough cleaning

The service was great from the owner and reception staff. The room was functional but very dated. Tidy but not overly clean The roof leaked in the kitchen area during our stay. The cleaner arrived on our second morning waking us early asking if we would like the room serviced. after declining and going back to bed she decided to let her self in to our unit. Not impressed and told het to leave.the linin was well worn altho clean. Lots of dust on the light fittings.the location was good and central. The over all stay was pleasent. Probably wouldn't stay again. But was good for a quick stay on a budget.

Stay somewhere else if you can. No sky. Bad internet. No bathroom fan. No kitchen extraction fan. Smelly of damp mildew. Hot water cylinder leaked so wardrobe floor very wet. Upstairs bath leaked above when drained. Baby cot didnt provide mattress or sheets. Room service wasnt provided every day. So rubbish over flowed, ran out of clean towels, & toilet paper. Laundry machines were broken so could do any washing dispite staying 7 nights. Rooms were clean and tidy when we arrived. Not sure that the main bed duvet ever gets clean. As i got mad hay fever staying the whole week. Our booking was messed up due to bad communication errors as managers english hard to understand due to very strong accsent. So we didnt have enough beds. Chopping board was rotten. Stayed the whole 7 days because we were told to pay in full up on booking via a bank transfer so we wouldnt loose our booking. Because the motel was so badly managed, i guess we got a lot of privacy as they avoided us with all our complaints. Close to shops like fresh choice, chemist, bakery, local resturants and bp station which was an upside. Christchurch is a beautiful city though.

Beautiful and clean. House keeping is amazing. Warm and snuggly. Spacious wee unit. Worth every penny. Breakfast was a nice touch. Spa bath is huge and shower is awesome with its water rotation head. Everything provided bedding and kitchens stuffs. Coffee tea and chocolate. Honestly good stay One down side. Need a foam mattress cover as bed was really hard.

I stayed at here for 5 nights on my recent Christchurch visit. This gave me a chance to really settle in. From my check- in to departure I was delighted and impressed with this establishment. The owners really respect privacy, they are hospitable and professional. They live on site with their three small children and are hands on in the daily care of the property. The place is clean, comfortable, quite plush actually, and there was an appreciation to 'detail' in my unit. It was well equipped and serviced, yet there is room for some improvement here. Their pricing is sharp. I suggest to book direct and save on online accommodation commissions. Highly recommend!
