   I visited Yazu Hair Lounge for the first time last week and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I went in not really sure what I wanted and left with one of those haircuts that transforms how you feel about yourself. Annabel was kind and skilled and knew just what to ask to guide me towards expressing what I needed from my hair and then she cut it beautifully. She made my week.

   Wow, as a first time visitor to this salon I am absolutely blown away! I’ve just had the most effortlessly transformative haircut and treatment I’ve been craving for ages. From the moment I sat down, Kaye instantly understood not only what my ideal style was, but also exactly what had been missing. With total ease, care and professional instinct, she worked her magic, and just like that, I felt completely like myself again. My hair flows naturally, sits perfectly, and feels like me. I didn’t even realise how much I needed this until I walked out feeling so much better! If you are looking for professionals in a lovely salon space with thoughtful touches, this is your place.

Her experience as a Master Stylist along with the latest science and technology products my colour/cut is always amazing. An absolute must if your looking to feel a million bucks.    Pretty disappointed because they've got rave reviews so I thought this is the place to go. No response to my email about getting my hair coloured there. It might be good that they're so busy that they don't respond but a short sorry we can only see you in two weeks would have been nice.

   This was honestly my worst experience at a hairdressers. Felt rushed and the result was uneven, unflattering and a waste of money. I am not a confrontational person, and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. It was the first time I had been and had high hopes I have never been compelled to write a negative review until visiting here

   've had some good experiences here before but unfortunately the most recent time wasn't so great. I showed pictures of what I wanted and clearly stated that I wanted a natural look- not too bleached. I knew something was wrong right away when the hairdresser spent an excessive amount of time fiddling over one patch of hair at the front of my head, which has been bleached white, and as shown in pictures, i've ended up with a huge, near white streak at the back of my head too (my friends call it my badger stripe) and I can't wear my hair up high because it looks so terrible. After I left the salon I had purple hair that lasted for about a week and I called up about a week following once my hair had gone back to a normal colour to ask if they could do something about it. I was booked in for about a month later to get the problem fixed, I am at uni out of Chrischurch so had to wait until I was back in the city. A couple weeks after this booking was made I got a call saying it wasn't possible as they would only fix hair within about a week of it being done and offered discount to come in and get it re-dyed. This policy is fair enough, but it should have been told to me right away instead of getting my hopes up only to cancel weeks later. The simple fact that such a bad job was done in the first place is the real issue though - i felt that no care was taken and now am stuck with this embarrassment until I can justify the cost of dying it again. No salon with such a good reputation should leave hair in a state like this, all their other services are usually fantastic but i'd be careful if booking a dye job!
