   My husband bought chips and fried rice from Asian Take away. When we got home, we found that the chips were burnt. I called and spoke to someone about it. The person on the phone (possibly the owner) admitted they knew the chips were burnt. I asked why you would knowingly serve burnt food, and there was no clear response. While a refund was offered, we don’t want to spend our time going back just to get one. Please be more mindful of how you treat your customers. If something is burnt, don’t serve it—get it right the first time.

   I was born in England, Chinese food and Indian food were part of my upbringing (as well as British food of course). I've lived all over the West Midlands, Devon and even Derbyshire. I've had many, many a take out because I was either pissed or just couldn't be arsed to cook. I've travelled to Canada, USA, Europe, India, Thailand, Indonisia, Vietnam, bugger me a lot of places. But this Chow Mein from this little freaking taker in Christchurch, IS ABSOLUTELY FREAKING AMAZING. The veg has been cooked perfect, the amount of meat to veg ratio is spot on, the sauce is to die for, the overall portion allows me to have 2 days worth of dinners. The staff were friendly, and the place was packed. I saw several customers bring their own boxes to take away their orders, as they ordered upto 8 items to feed their family. Folks, this place is amazing. I ordered the chow mein as a base line. If this is good then the rest is going to be amazing. Go to this place.

   These guys are my go to place..it's been just under 9years since we last ordered from here as our local just isn't tasting so good anymore. Nice to see some of the familiar staff and some new faces it was nostalgic feeling...The staff are always friendly and service is always with a smile..the food taste as it did 9 years ago..so in my books that's awesome.

   Good quantity of food for the prices, fish a good size. Meat pattie was bizarre, not sure if they accidentally gave me something else, it seemed to be 90% mashed potato with just some random tiny bits of meat and corn, wondering if it was actually their "bacon and corn pattie". Overall average quality food but at least it's not overpriced.

   I would highly recommend the New Asia Takeaways. The shop is nice and clean and staff friendly. They cut their own chips which are yummy and none of those mr chips rubbish. The fish is great too. We will be back.

   I have tried both the Chinese takeaways as well as the fish and chips. Both are great and what we can expect from a the typical Asian food as well as the shark and tater (aka fish and chips). The place has an atmosphere of efficiency and seems to be a popular place as there signs of well worn surfaces. So if you want a good and large takeaway visit this place Always someone in the shop.
