   Restaurant was tidy and clean, service was great - staff very friendly. The chef was great!! My food came out very fast and it was so yum!! I was given a complimentary drink with my meal as well. 10/10 experience at Two Fat Indians, Papanui.

   We were so excited to dine at this restaurant! We often do a trip to Kmart and can smell the amazing smell. To say our experience was disappointing is an understatement, the only thing I can say was good was the coke no sugar. The service unfortunately was below average, the lady seemed lovely however we had to ask for our own cutlery, was declined clean cutlery from our entree to main & just overall not a pleasant experience. We were given no napkins with our cutlery and not offered fresh water and or asked if we wanted another drink. I am vegetarian and never have I had such a lack of options, I ordered a paneer dish - 5 minutes later the lady came out to say it was unavailable, when I looked again I asked if I could have the butter chicken (without chicken & with veges) she said I could have the sauce? I then explained again what I wanted and she said she had to check with the chef, she didn’t come back and consult I just assumed it was okay. When the meal arrived it was evident that all they had done was add a few frozen mixed veges to the sauce & called it vegetarian. The sauce tasted as though I was eating tomato soup, usually this is something I would share on the night but we were not asked how our meals were or anything like that. All 3 of us were very disappointed in the quality of food and the lack of taste. The bathroom were extremely unhygienic that I wouldn’t even go in. We will not be returning to this restaurant and will also be sharing our views with our friends and family.

   Ordered takeaway for first time was ready when they said it would be. ( 30 min after call )Quiet Sunday, the 2 tables that just left had cleaned their plates 100% which is a good sign. Clean place with good furniture. The 2 naan’s and gluten naan where good the 2 curries also good. Would go back and eat in next time.

   Worst restaurant experience ever!! We waited for almost an hour then apparently they forget our biryani in the oven and came out burned!! The dough on top was burned and small bits of it fall on the rice!! I know they cut and open the dough in front of customers but this time because it was burned they brought out already cut and opened, they thought we wouldn't notice!! We also ordered lamb vindaloo, it was really bad tasted like metal!! I would never recommend it to anyone. They obviously don't care about their customers as they serve burned food. Such a waste of money!! Update: reply to the owner. Isn't just basic to not serve your customers burned food? Why waiting for us to say anything? We were in a hurry and we didn't want to wait longer that's why we didn't say anything! Thanks for the offer but would never go back there

   Food is OK, need more customer service there. No napkins on our table or at the counter. Should be three stars but I see owner replied every review, that’s worth 1 more star.
