We went here for a date night while traveling around Christchurch. Loved the place. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and the food was tasty. Overall, a really lovely spot!
Signage on tpath encourages you in with promise of variety of beverages/champagne and suggestion to ask for recommendations at the bar. Actual service required waiting for the bar staff to bother to meander over, repeated attempts to order a specific wine variety off the menu met with blank stares and questions of if it's a Chardonay.. After 4 attempts get them to realise it does exist. No proactive service, no chat/banter interest show, had to stand at the bar waiting for someone to turn up to order another wine. It's a hotel bar. Do not go here if you aren't a guest with a voucher and even if you are, better bars a block either way.

Was the worse espresso martini I have ever had. Tasted like very watery cold coffee with zero alcohol in (don't think it helped the bartender spilt a 1/4 of when shaking the mixture together) No Froth to it. No coffee beans. Abysmal effort of a espresso martini please choose a different cocktail. Beer on tap was cold and refreshing
Came in on a chilly night, on a happy accident the place we were going to go in New Regent st had no indoor seating! We were thrilled to stumble across this gem. We were greeted by the lovely Chelsea and sat in the beautiful lounge/dining room on plush sofas were our group of 8 sat around and had a few drinks. Fantastic couple of hours spent. Many Thanks to Chelsea for the hospitality and good drinks! (Chelsea makes a mean mojito).
Small bar, at the entrance of the crown Hotel. The cheese plate is good, the wine is really affordable and the service is great. Just a shame that its part of the hotel.
We received free drink vouchers at the check in counter so visited Social Wine Bar during our stay in Crown Plaza hotel. It’s not a wide space in the lobby but comfortable enough to chill with partner/friends. There is a heater in the middle so you can stay warm and enjoy your drink. Staff is friendly and polite, it’s a great experience if you stay this hotel.
