Worst French toast I had, two dry bread with thick banana puree, nice decoration of fresh fruits and flowers. Coffee is average. I asked to confirm that’s the French toast, she said they changed the menu. I had a wonderful French toast in Majastic Rollerston just a couple weeks ago. Very disappointing!

We have been continuing to support this local cafe since opening but not anymore, they have certainly lost a very good customer as myself and my wife both go there every week and sometimes during the week Today, we went there in the morning and I ordered creamy mushrooms on toast with extra bacon and 2 coffees, I often order this, they bought out the completely wrong order and when I advised them of this they told me they had changed the menu, that's fine for them to do that of course, the problem is, they never told us, when I ordered, I clearly stated creamy mushrooms and bacon added but the girl serving said nothing, just took my order and the menu I ordered from at the front counter must have been their old menu as it still had the creamy mushrooms on it (when we checked the menu at the table, not the counter where we ordered, after this happened, indeed it was the new menu) so, why didn't the girl inform me, there and then and I would have ordered something else, now, the problem here is, this also (the exact same thing and the exact same girl) happened a couple of weeks ago, except her excuse then was that she had made a mistake taking the order and nothing mentioned then about the new menu, why not? She also admitted that day in front of another staff member that she had made the mistake and then they went and completed my correct order (longer wait) The thing we really disliked today was that they started to blame me for the issue, and when I went back to the counter, to show her the menu I had looked at with the creamy mushrooms on, it was gone! She had removed it! Instead of simply owning up and saying sorry, she tried to make it look like it was me who ordered wrong and then the cook came out and said, we changed the menu, they kept saying this and arguing with me in the shop in front of customers, I was saying, that's fine but why didn't you tell me when I ordered, I really don't understand that, the chef then offered me if I waited, he would cook me the creamy mushrooms but by then, they had embarrassed me in front of so many people, I asked for my money back and will never go back again, shocking service and the way we were treated, this is probably the worst experience I have ever had while dining out, if you make a mistake, just own up and take responsibility, I would have been fine with that but to act that way is unacceptable

Chance upon this very nice cafe while holidaying in South Island…enjoyed the foods and love the coffee.

Great place to visit. The food was delicious and so was my Notting hill tea! The staff and owner were so lovely and the people in the cafe were chatty. Gorgeous presentation too. Also had to try the almond croissant and it was delicious. It wasn’t like a supermarket croissant, instead it was flaky and delicious.

My team and I visited this café for a team meeting today and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere, staff, food, and service were all top-notch. We enjoyed every minute—especially soaking up the sunshine after a few days of dreadful weather. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to everyone!

Food was good, coffee was really average (I prefer my coffee made with unsweetened almond milk). They offer high chairs but no change facilities at all for young babies! For a family area with lots of mums with young kids you would expect to have this, first time going to a cafe that did not provide this. Went to ask staff about this but had to wait a long time at the till for anyone to come offer service.

Met up with a friend for a lunch at this new café for the first time. It was busy but the staff were so friendly and food was quick. Ordered a vegetarian mushroom omelet. It was so delicious. Will be back to try their smashed avocado next time.

Very nice and spacious, new cafeteria/ high tea bar , beautifully decorated and designed. Plenty of seats and room, both inside and outside. Everything still smells brand new ! If you are a tea lover- you are in paradise. So many options of great teas, from traditional English breakfast choices to herbal and fruit ones like. If anything this place is just only worth visiting to try their tea, which by the way is beautifully prepared and served in proper tea kettle. Coffees are decent as well and appreciated choice of alternative milks they have. On the disappointing side is the choice of food. It’s clearly crafted for the local farmers clientele, focused on eggs and beacon and no choice whatsoever of vegetarian or vegan. In best case scenario you can get smashed avocado on toast, which comes with egg. You can ask no egg option, but still be changed full price which doesn’t make any sense. For the new and nice place like this really be good to have some vegetarian and vegan options to chose from. Service is very friendly, but bit slow. It took forever to get our order and drinks, as some staff was having lunch at the same time and there was o my one person left. I find it amazing that during rush lunch hour at noon that’s the priority rather than serving customers. Overall nice addition to Prebbleton food scene and hope to see some improvements as we really like this new place.

Well lit and lots of windows, nice open plan dining. Great food and good selection of drinks. The hot chocolate drink was delicious and the steak sandwich was done perfectly. We also had the big breakfast and egg Benedict which was of good portion and fair priced. Well worth a visit and would recommend.

We have been here a few times now nust quickly passing for a coffee. Nice to see Majestic now has a chef. Orders today were Market Fish and the Advocado Smash. Both of these meals were quite tasty we just didn't feel there was that much on the plate for $27 and $24 respectively. Service as always was really good.
