I loved the movement components that were pertinent to the areas we were studying at the time! I had an oldies class today and used two cues from the weekend! I was subbing the class and this one woman had asked me ages ago about getting more movement in her lumbar spine - I hadn't seen her in about 6 months and this morning I used the towel under her back trick - she did so much better!!

I completed the Pilates Anatomy for Movement Professionals 3 day course last weekend and absolutely loved it! The content was clear, practical, and taught in a way that immediately improved how I cue and understand movement from an anatomical point of view. Kim is incredibly knowledgeable and created such a supportive learning environment. I walked away feeling inspired, confident, and excited to bring what I learned into my classes! I loved the retreat! You can choose to do as much or as little as you like. There was a lot of raw honesty in a connective and nurturing environment. Being able to express yourself in such a safe space was truly valuable I'd highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a supportive and authentic experience

Iβve known Kim for many years, both as a yoga and Pilates teacher. Last year, I had the opportunity to attend her Balanced Body Mat & Reformer Pilates training in Christchurch. Kim has a wealth of knowledge. Sheβs incredibly passionate, caring, and has a gift for making learning fun. Sheβs an amazing teacher and mentor. This year, joining Kim West's Balanced Body training was the best decision I made. I had a Pilates session with Kim at her home studio in Pegasus which was well set up and a great space to be in. I highly recommend her private one on one Pilates sessions. Having never done a Pilates session or class before I wasn't overly aware of what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. Kim is a natural instructor. She is warm and friendly and her communication is clear and encouraging which I appreciated. I love the way Kim explained Pilates initially to give me an understanding of its background. She really listened to get an understanding of my own needs in order to design the session for me. Kim has a lot of tools in her kit. I loved the breathwork that she brings into the session, so helpful. She did pelvic floor work with me which was awesome as I am in menopause now. I felt my body being challenged in way that was perfect for where I am at. There was also relaxation and stretching at the end which was a great way to integrate the Pilates. I felt very uplifted by the experience afterwards! I also could feel in the following days the work that had been done in my body which was great. Really enjoyed It!!!

I had very good experience through 1:1 Plates session with Kim. She is very professional and knowledgable as Pilates instructor. The way she guides, was very clear. It was easy to follow her instructions what I do and how I move my body. The way she teaches is compassionate and thoughtful. She also encouraged me when some moves were a bit challenging. So I got to keep doing it;)

I started my 1:1 Pilates sessions with Kim as part of my recovery from abdominal surgery due to Cancer. With Kimβs vast knowledge and experience this was a safe way to gain back my strength, plus help prevent past knee/ankle injuries recurring. In addition to doing Pilates with Kim, I have also been learning more about my own body and the correct placement/alignment when exercising. I am feeling stronger and getting more and more energy back and finding Pilates a great help. I would highly recommend Kim. She has a vast knowledge and teaches in a friendly and caring way.
