Hats off to the council for cleaning it up and sectioning off the picnic area. This place has great family potential now that the Muppets can't drive their vehicles all over it. Some picnic tables, a bubbling brook and lots of trees. Some trash bins would be helpful.
Watched a drive in movie there once. Was great.
We had a quick visit to Rotorua so wanted to see the thermal springs . The park looks run down but you get a good look at the Thermal pools.
Small area, stream is deeper in some parts so can chill around that area or splash around with the kids in the shallow spot further down. Bit of a dumping ground, stuff left behind that you wouldn't want your kids playing with.
Great relaxing place where you can swim in the river. Loved our outing. No facilities but great picnic spot.
Lots of fun lovly beautful stream
Great place for self contained vehicles. Has the usual mosquitos and flies but the sounds of the river at night was pretty special.
