friendly “Founders’ Park in Matamata is a beautiful and peaceful area. It’s great for families and visitors, and we really appreciate the council for maintaining such a lovely natural space.

Beautiful park full of trees, great spot for a picnic on a hot day, clean kept water feature with a pond at the end of it and a lovely planted area of Kate Shepard camelias for Woman's suffrage.

Beautiful park with lovely kept mature trees. Lovely to spend hot summers day underneath shade of different trees. Beautifully manicured lawn and water feature. Council does a good job keeping maintained. A lovely green park in Matamata - perfect for picnic.

There is No Photo of the Memorial stone dedicated to NZ 1st Rights to Women voting in the world. I know it's there yet No mention here or pictures of it.

Nice place. Sat & had a picnic by the water feature.

Could be a good place to stop if it was nice. Seriously overgrown and many trees have to go. Quite dark, gloomy and damp. Council have really neglected what could be a lovely area.

Beautiful place to escape the midday sun and heat. Has benches if you'd rather be amongst naturesque views while eating lunch, brekky or just to take a break.

There's a nice collection of shade trees here, with a few flowers. However, it's a very small park, right next to one of towns busier intersections

  3. Phillipa Taylor ★★★☆☆

Pleasant spot for a picnic not far from cbd
